View Full Version : Sunrise (Channel 7 Australia) and Ghosts

Australia's Sunrise show started the week quite well with regular guest Doctor John dismissing the link between vaccination and autism but ended on a low note with a "psychic" saying that blurry spots, smells and changes in temperature are proof of ghosts.
Whilst Kochie showed a hint of skepticism with his suggestion that a strange smell could be a dead rat under the floorboards, that was as skeptical as it got. He didn't even challenge the fact that in response to this question, Deb Mallone made no mention of smells.
From there on it was just lots of ooohs and aaahs from the presenters who were all too ready to accept that people who likely still believe in Santa (people under 10) were also the people with the strongest natural psychic ability. This was some of the dumbest television I've seen for a while.
(BTW, Mallone didn't make the Santa reference, I threw that in as an observation.)

You have some explaining to do about why you were watching this excuse of a TV show in the first place.;) Oh and welcome to the forum.

This is the channel that spawned that pillar of the journalistic community, Today Tonight, so frankly I'm not surprised.

Indeed.
If you must watch one of them, at least watch Today.

I dunno. I find the Indonesian News on SBS makes more sense than either Sunrise or Today and I don't speak a word of Bahasa.

I saw that, complete toss. A few weeks ago I remember seeing something about past lives, but some guy wrote in saying how it was rubbish though.
And for the record Sunrise is the only show that I can sort of fall asleep through and not lose track of time, which is why I have it on in the morning.

Maybe I'll try listening to that. But I think on some of the days I get up the German news is on.

I could get my brother to translate for you!
But then it wouldn't make any sense! ;)
