How did the Huffington Post miss this comment?

Here is the libs favorite TV host MSNBC's Keith Olbermann advocating the rub out of Hillary:

Howard Fineman suggests that some unnamed super superdelegate was going to have to find a way to persuade Hillary to drop out of the race, to which KO said:

"Right. Somebody who can take her into a room and only he comes out."

And KO appears daily on MSNBC.

HuffPo had a story on it. Back when it was news.

Really? Was it a condemnation or more adulation of KO on HuffPo?

Yep. It was more adulation.

"Olbermann apologized on the air tonight, explaining that he ought to have made the statement pronoun-neutral and specific to politics; I am once again impressed with the alacrity of Olbermann and MSNBC."

I wonder if Rachel Sklar is as impressed with Trotter's alacrity?

And what did we learn today?

If you're going to say that a website "missed" or "didn't mention" something, at least search the website in question before posting. Otherwise, you'll look like a dufus.

It was an expression of outrage (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/25/keith-olbermanns-idea-for_n_98557.html).

You see Soros as a funder of due-diligence institutions? Interesting.

No more than I see the moderator as a conservative.

It was an expression of outrage (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/25/keith-olbermanns-idea-for_n_98557.html).

But it was left to a comment posted by Prolix under the story to go far beyond what Sklar was willing to admit:

"I've watched MSNBC grow increasingly impatient during this primary cycle and it caused me to wonder why since politics has become their daily ala carte item. Why would they want to cut short a primary that has fed Mathews, Olbermann, Gregory's new show and Abrams for months (although I must admit that Gregory and Abrams have not been nearly as offensive as Mathews and Olbermann of late)? The simple answer is that the network is playing to their demographic, that of younger, pimarily male viewers who typically show the maturity of a 14 year old who has not yet learned to manage their wobbly venture into civilized human discourse. A quick read of the posts herein illustrate the point.

Much to the protestation of Olbermann and his playground vendetta with Fox News, I, a life-long liberal, have found Fox to be much more fair in its coverage. Prior to MSNBC's equivalence of "calling girls yucky," by their coverage and comentary regarding Sen. Clinton, I would never have thought such a thing possible. It just proves if you live long enough, all things are possible."

BTW: You might want to get a handle on the spelling of "moar" before lecturing on what constitutes being a dufus.

No, but we don't need much for resources. Just a web browser and the address of Google.

I'd explain it to you, but the humor would be lost.

It's already been lost on him.

Of all the possible candidates for the new American, Cicero easily rose to the top 5 with that one.

Good thing I've been playing go-karts and drinking hot cocoa instead of waiting for his answers on feminism.

I'll let someone else explain "moar" to you, but everyone, everyone, on this board must be acquainted with American's "Elton John totally ripped off REO Speedwagon"* thread. It speaks for itself.

It has been the source of many a' parody.

* ...and as soon as the stupid slow search works and I can post a link to it, it will speak for itself. grrr....

Even in the cloistered world of the JREFer libs, how does a 2003 thread about how some poster didn't know about Elton's widely popular 'Yellow Brick Road" tunes become relevant to a thread about how KO pulled the same thing as Liz Trotta did on FOX? She is rightly upbraided in the "FOX News Guest Jokes About Assassinating Obama" thread, and not one lib has condemned KO for his comments on his show in this thread.

The fact that Sklar did write about it on HuffPo (after seeing the blog, I know better) does not change the subject of the thread.

Now you want to explain the "moar" significance? Or is this just more obscure JREFer inside baseball. This is spooky.

BTW: For you of all people to slap Cleon on the back about me not looking up Skalr's post on Huffpo is stunning. Everytime I post a readily retrieved current news fact without a website notation, you moan about not knowing where I got this material. Why do you not follow Cleon's Google instructions in similar situations?

...

...because chipmunk stew had already cited the HuffPo article in post 3 of this thread and there is really no reason to re-cite something that has already been cited once in the thread, especially if it is on the same page?

Why do you not follow Cleon's Google instructions in similar situations?

am I missing something here? isn't this obvious?
