View Full Version : Obama The Lightworker will help you evolve

Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.

you can be sure some Right Wing Pundit will pick up on it, and accuse Obama of proclaiming himself the "Evolution of Humans".

Is that some kind of Scientolologist stuff? So ... that's where L. Ron Hubbard went, all those years ago; Obama is his clone.
Granted, a somewhat modified clone.

But that's where all the smart, sophisticated people live....as well as a disproportionate number of weirdos, pinkos, code-pinkos, liberal fascists, '60s refugees, and freakazoids.
And unfortunately, they outnumber the smart, sophisticated people.

One of Obama's biggest problems will be with his more kooky followers.
you can be sure some Right Wing Pundit will pick up on it, and accuse Obama of proclaiming himself the "Evolution of Humans".
Just like the Left Wing Pundits will pick up on some of McCain's more extreme supporters and try to tag him with their opinions. SOP in politics.

LA has the reputation for being the Kook capital of the US, but as someone who has lived in North Cal for most of his life I can assure you that the San Francisco Bay area has LA beat by a mile.
And it is not just because it is a very liberal city. Boston is just as liberal, but you don't get the same Batcrap crazy from Boston as you do from SF.
It is a beautiful city, but damn, the percentage of the population who are loons is large.

People and emotions and ideas of high and positive vibration are automatically draw to him. It's exactly like how Bush was a magnet for the low vibrational energies of fear and war and oppression and aggression, but, you know, completely reversed. And different. And far, far better.
You're harshing my mellow, hippie.
I love the false dichotomy at the end. Let's see, I have a choice between Highly Enlightened Conduit of Positive Light Energy or Cleverly Packaged Vessel of Darkness and Despair.
Way to scare the evangelicals, dude.

And who else would you want our good friends in Berkeley to have as next door neighbors? :)

I spent about five days in San Francisco a couple years ago. It was like being in a cartoon. It has to have the highest concentration of walking stereotypes per square block than any other city in the country.

I think Obama can't wait to be sworn in so he can stop being nice and nodding his head to these types.

WOW, this is almost as good as the astrologer chick FOX had on this morning talking about how because McCain is a Virgo and is house is rising or some such it meand that he is the "servant of the people" while Obama is simply out to get rich because he's a Leo.
(no I couldn't be bothered to wade through the piles of maure on fox new to find the link)

It's Morford. He's a complete nutter. I guarantee you could look at his last ten columns and there would be nine where you wonder how anybody ever thought his opinions were worth printing. It's to the point these days where I doubt if many right wingers bother including Morford's quotes in their "Craziest quotes of the month" contests because they know he'd have half of them.

Yes lets hope no one in the KKK supports McCain, or he will have to reject and denounce them...;)

I grew up about 30 miles from SF in the East Bay,and now live in Sacramento, about 90 miles away, and get down to SF a lot, and I can testify that the above is true.
A beautiful city with great scenary, great museums , and great restaurants, but the kook level is high, realy high. How LA got the rep for Nut capital with SF around I never understood.
And it is not just the politics. As I pointed out, Boston is also a very left wing city, but you don't get 1/5 of the kookiness you get in SF.

The first two places in the U.S. that I visited were Central Alaska and Northern California. Now that I'm older and wiser, I do realize that there's more to America than frontiersmen and nutters.
