Check out osama bin laden's latest video release in september 2007 in its entirety. Go into 5 minutes or so and you can see that the image is frozen. Of course the media failed to notice this and showed only snippets of him moving.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - There is no evidence of a direct threat from al Qaeda or that the group has obtained weapons of mass destruction, U.S. intelligence officials said on Tuesday, despite reports that al Qaeda will release a new video urging jihadists to use such weapons to attack the West.

FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said the bureau sent out an alert to U.S. law enforcement agencies about the expected video. "We got information the tape is coming," he said. "We sent out an alert to law enforcement to let them know the tape was coming."

Kolko said the alert was a routine precaution sent to 1,800 U.S. law enforcement agencies.

ABC News reported on Tuesday evening that the video was expected in the next 24 hours.

However, IntelCenter, a U.S.-based terrorism monitoring firm, said the video being referred to was actually released at least as early as Monday and is entitled "Nuclear Jihad, The Ultimate Terror."

IntelCenter described it as "a jihadi supporter video compilation" and said that it was not from an official group.

"These videos almost always are comprised of old video footage that is edited together to make a new video," IntelCenter said. "The material in these types of videos do not qualify as an official message from al-Qaeda or any other group."

A U.S. intelligence official said on Tuesday evening that there is no sign that al Qaeda has acquired the capability to use weapons of mass destruction.

"At this point there isn't evidence they've obtained it," the official said on condition of anonymity. "But it's clearly their intent and it's something we need to be aware of and concerned about."

The dollar dipped slightly on the ABC News report against the euro and Swiss franc.

I don’t know if your claim is true. In any event, on several different occasions, the British press reported as a recent breakthrough the story of a man whose amputated finger had regenerated thanks to a revolutionary cellular compound. The “breakthrough” was only genuinely recent on the first such occasion. (It was also, incidentally, almost certainly bogus.) However, I don’t think that this serves as compelling evidence of some vast and nebulous conspiracy. It’s more a case of poor journalism.

my lD's that have laser rot, freezes at a point where the disc has been corrupted
Cd's will stall on a scratched area

DVD, especially dual layered ones, can freeze as it switches between layers.,

And what is your conclusion, and how did you come to it?

Did you consider every possibilities of why this video freezes before you came to the conclusion of a conspiracy?

I see no rationale suggesting that a "freeze" in a portion of the video -- or crude video editing in general -- is in any way inconsistent with:

a. The tape being made by Al Qaeda.
b. The tape being made by supporters of Al Qaeda by editing fragments of other Al Qaeda tapes together.
c. The tape being made by hoaxers.
d. The tape being made by CIA disnifo agents.
e. The tape being made by aliens.

Since the glitch you describe is consistent with all rational and most irrational possibilities for the tape's source, it has no power to evidence one possibility over another. That is adequate justification for the press -- and for the rest of us -- to pay no attention to it.
