If we could somehow 'prove' that there were no other lifeforms in the Universe, would that constitute 'proof' of a creator? Would it make the possibility of a creator more positive, less positive or the same??

Proof that there are no other life forms in the universe would only prove that there are no other life forms in the universe. There is still no logical reason to include a mythical big sky daddy.

Even in hypothetical, science-fiction like way of thinking, I wouldn't know how we ever could determine if there is life in any of the countless galaxies billions of light years away.
would that constitute 'proof' of a creator?
Would it make the possibility of a creator more positive, less positive or the same??
These are philosophical, religious questions.

Not that I agree with the OP, I argued in another thread on this subject how I would never think that a universe with no other life than ourselves is any kind of definitive proof of "God".
Yet, I have to ask.. Why do I get the impression that many people here think "sky daddy" is the most witty and brutal commentary on "God" ever! (as opposed to the rather condescending and patronizing insult that it really is?).
I know, I know, I'm an apologist. I'm wrong to think that using such methods won't actually change the minds and hearts of anyone who is religious. After all, ridicule and personal attacks about peoples intelligence are actually legitimate and successful techniques for changing minds. Why bother with facts? Just embarrass them enough and they'll surely see the light. That works every single time, right? It never actually stiffens the resolve of people.. it never actually get's completely lost on those not bright enough to understand it. It just works every single time.

I have proof that humans are not the only life forms in the universe. There are dogs, cats, lots of bacteria, hundreds of thousands of species of plant, and so on, and so on.
If we could prove that humans were the only species around, that might be proof of God, since our survival would be a miracle.

Actually given the size and diversity of the universe, I would take that as the proof of a universe wide killing machine that somehow missed us!
The existence of such a machine puts doubt in the existence of a 'creator' (unless it changed its mind).
