View Full Version : John McCain, Arch-Hypocrite And Traitor

In an attempt to consolidate his young, hip, trendy image, McCain has publically stated that he "hates golf (http://thesunnews.typepad.com/politicktock/2007/09/mccain-golf-hat.html)", adding: "I regard it a sinister plot to make wealthy elderly white male conservatives take exercise when they could be napping".

At the time, I and the rest of the civilized world applauded his denunciation of this brutal "sport".

But now I turn to his main webpage (http://johnmccain.com/), and what do I find?

CREATING JOBS (http://johnmccain.com/Informing/News/Speeches/Read.aspx?guid=641cbd73-6945-4103-ad70-306862fdecf3)
STRATEGY (http://johnmccain.com/strategybriefing/)
DECISION CENTER (http://johnmccain.com/decisioncenter/)
GOLF GEAR (http://store.johnmccain.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=FDR2583)

Not only does the man profit from the hideous trade in golfing accessories, but it seems to be fairly high on his list of priorities. Has he finally renounced the last of his principles in order to pander to his base?

Asked yesterday to clarify his position on golf, McCain replied: "My stance remains firm, although sometimes I get a little too far over the ball."

As if his NAKED HYPOCRISY wasn't bad enough, he is breaking faith with US servicemen in Iraq. Did not that noble patriot George W. Bush, as his one and only half-assed show of solidarity with Our Troops, renounce golf (http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0508/Bush_has_given_up_golf_for_troops.html)? "I thought it was the very least I could do," said the great man, "so I did it".

[insert Iraq-related joke about hazards and bunkers here]

And now McCain stabs Our Troops in the back by openly inciting Americans to golf IN TIME OF WAR.

This ... this is beneath contempt.

Barack Obama does not play golf nor profit from the sale of golfing accessories, and has "guaranteed (http://setshot.blogspot.com/2008/04/barack-obama-is-seriously-baller.html)" that, if elected, he will build an indoor basketball court in the White House, on the former site of Nixon's Evil Bowling Alley. Now that's CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!!!

Barack Obama does not play golf

Yet another lie, you really need help. It's become pathological.

In a statement from Chicago, where he took a day off from campaigning to play golf, Obama said: "Obviously, I am thrilled and honored to have Senator Clinton's support. But more than that, I honor her today for the valiant and historic campaign she has run."

Two points:

1. Why does Tiger Woods hate Canada (http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/06/03/tiger-woods-doesnt-watch-hockey)?

JULIUS MASON: Mr. Woods, Julius Mason here . . . one burning question for you, Detroit or Pittsburgh tonight? In the Stanley Cup finals. (Laughter.)

TIGER WOODS: That's pretty good. I don't really care, let's talk about the Dodgers. (Laughter.)

JULIUS MASON: Politically correct as always and that's what we ?

TIGER WOODS: I don't think anybody really watches hockey any more. (Laughter.)

2. http://www.attnational.org/home/default.sps

Tiger loves the troops. From the link: Proceeds from the AT & T National benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation and various youth programs in the greater DC area, while also paying tribute to the many courageous men and women serving in our Armed Forces. (His dad was SF)

@ Dr A, a good walk spoiled is a fine avenue for beverage intake, as well as a metaphor for life: you can improve in golf, and you can work at it, but you'll never be perfect, just as in life. Even Tiger Woods, as extraordinary as he is, succumbs to that truth.

You left out the golf analogy he used later:

"Even though she got to play from the political red tees, I still out played her form the white blue post racial tees. She never could putt, since she can't read a green like Nader."
Or maybe that was the Bizzaro Obama who said that. Can't recall, the hops were with me last night.

It's also apostasy for American Christians. He'll lose that voting bloc.

You cannot truely hate golf unless you go from being scratch to a 18 handicap. It jumped the shark for me the day during the club championship when from 245 out over water I ripped a 1-iron to six inches from the hole for eagle and wound up with a 15 because I hit the wrong grass-covered ball and the bonkers monster took over. This was probably the first 1-iron I managed to hit cleanly in two years or so, and it takes this sort of thing to deep down inside loathe the game with all the fiber of one's being.

McCain's hatred of beer and flip-flops over golf should be given as much attention as Obama's 57 states comment... Am I the only one that recognizes this thread as a parody of the style of a certain poster that likes to post shocking thread titles based on silly premises?

Good lord I hate golf.

I don't know if a non-golfer can appreciate how much one can hate the game when one goes from being an expert to being a hack. You look at a possible shot like you are still a good player, attempt the shot like you used to when you could play well, and....

I guess, however, it is better to hate the game, then the player.

I feel your pain, brother Suddenly. I took the one iron out of the bag six months ago. I still hit the two, since I live in a windy part of the world and like to hit low, wind cheating shots.

Of course, I never got down to scratch, and I am fighting my handicap back down toward an 11 from a 16, one shot at a time, as my foot heals and I get my rhythm back. Had a three birdie day last month, which hadn't happened in a while.

Here's to one iron shots, when they come off: nothing feels so sweet.

Stroke and distance because my 300 yard drive went into the fescue by about a foot and I couldn't find it?!?!? Stupid stupid stupid game, and I can't wait to play again this weekend!!

I haven't reverted to "hack" level yet, but when you spend $300 + on a new driver and realize that even this late in the season you're a da#@ fool to pull it out of the bag even once during the round, but do so on 14 holes anyway, well, you get the idea...

Just got me an old Callaway three wood, warbird, on the used rack. Ninety bucks, to replace at long last, after 15 years, my persimmon four wood.

Off the tee, a nice 230 yard draw. For tight holes. Driver is fun, but as you note, it's also a temptation.

Hence, the Golfer's most holy prayer

Our Father
Who golfeth at Scratch
Hogan be thy name

Thy driver come
Thy holes in one
Your swing would put us in heaven

Give is this day our daily par
And forgive us our three putts
As we forgive our three putting partners- on-the-two-down-press-with-fifty-dollars-riding-on-it-no-I-won't-tell-you-where-I-put-the-body

And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us a three wood on the narrow holes
For thine is the fairway and the green
In regulation, forever.

Aaaah, crap, I blocked my tee shot into the trees again!

From the link that talked about the basketball court in the White House:

Update: Great footage from HBO showing Obama playing pickup ball. He looks pretty good, but clearly can't go right at all. Thanks to our friend Sully for the link. And another clip from friend and Jazz fanatic Matt. Sweet passing!

So, even on the basketball court, Obama only goes to the left!

If Obama worked for a corporate law firm, I can pretty much guarantee you that he played a fair amount of golf. Law, accounting, and consulting firms use golf as a way to schmooze with clients and potential clients, in the hope of bringing in more business. I discovered this to my detriment back in my accounting days, when I was repeatedly asked in interviews with public accounting firms, "Do you play golf?" That's one reason I ended up working for the Indiana State Board of Accounts, auditing governmental and quasi-governmental organizations.

To truly appreciate the majesty and proud tradition of golf you really do need two things: a bottle of scotch and a potato cannon modified to fire golf balls. Once you have those two things it becomes far easier to understand why people get hooked on it.

There is mounting evidence that John McCain is the Antichrist.

A Biblical Sholar Writes (http://blog.commonsensepatriot.com/2008/02/03/is-juan-mccain-the-antichrist.aspx)

Is John McCain the Anti Christ? ... So does anything that is said about the Anti-Christ in the bible ring in tune with the Anti-Reagan called John (Juan) McCain? Have fun and read and think:

18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many Antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour.

19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us. (Does this remind you of anything or anyone (s)???????

[...]

13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. (Reagan)

[...]

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; (can we say New Hampshire healed the wound of Iowa?)

You Have To Read Between The Lines (http://lionofjudah.squarespace.com/journal/2008/2/15/john-mccain-as-an-antichrist.html):

Don't forget people...McCain has had head injuries, He comes from Pheonix ( to rise again). The new Republican Symbol is the Elephant with 3 upside down 5 point stars ( fallen Man). I wont vote for him...no way. Although if God has His purpose to put McCain in office...believe me, it will be so. McCain...son of Cain.

Another Dead Giveaway (http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message560946/pg1):

McCain has a scar from his skin cancer on the left side of his face. The Antichrist will survive a mortal wound (cancer)and the left side of the face is connoted with the Evil or Demonic nature of Humans.

Mo Udall was the real anti-christ, but since he never was elected the end of days was derailed and God gave up on his creation for going off the script. We are on our own now.
