Do these RETARDS not know how to keep the mic out of the wind?
After watching these losers it appears the issue is that vendors are complaining probably because these morons drive away their customers.
I love how the cop told him to go and do some research on what the laws are!
That was tooo funny!
It ends with the cops laughing at these loons yet they post the video as if they were victorious.

Sec. 47-16. Definitions.
Words used in this article shall have the following meanings ascribed to them:
(a) A "peddler" is any individual who engages in the itinerant or transient sale or bartering of any goods, merchandise or services directly to the consuming public, whether or not the goods, merchandise or services are actually delivered at the time of sales. A peddler engages in such activities as selling from door-to-door, hawking of items at public events, and selling or canvassing by means of carrying goods or samples around from place to place in order to encounter consumers who will purchase or order the goods.
Sec. 47-18. Prohibited activities.
It shall be unlawful for a peddler:
(c) To fail or refuse to leave peacefully private property immediately when told to do so by the landowner, the landowner's agent or representative, or the occupant of the premises or to attempt to solicit business at any place which maintains a sign or other visible and legible indication that such solicitation of business is not desired or is prohibited, unless the permission of the owner, agent, representative or occupant of the premises has been previously obtained.
Sec. 47-26. Required.
Subject to the exclusions provided in sections 47-16(b) and 47-17(b), a license for peddling shall be required as follows:
(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, it shall be a violation of this Code for any individual to peddle goods, merchandise or services without first obtaining a license therefor from the director of excise and licenses.
(b) It shall be a violation of this Code for any sponsor of juvenile peddlers to allow or promote peddling as provided in section 47-19 without first obtaining a license therefor from the director of excise and licenses.
So I was able to find the city code for Denver by typing in "Denver Municipal Code" into a search engine. What is their excuse? I think problem is the WAC's refused to leave the premises without harassing the cops. Hell they could have argued they weren't actual vendors if they would have done the research.

I dont think Wearechange understands the basic concept that their freedom of speach and assembly doesnt mean that they can interfere with a business owner trying to make a living.
Besides thiese business owners are stimulating the economy and helping to pay the unemployment that wearechange members collect.

Ok the following is the letter that Look-up over at LCF is telling everyone to send to the Denver PD:
This is the most whacky letter I have seen in a long time. Your brain will hurt from what you are about to read.
----------------
Dir Sir or Maddam,
Yesterday, a man was ticketed and handcuffedd for distributing DVDs and flyers on what is apparently a public walkway.
Officers on the scene, as recorded on film, were divided on whether the walkway was public or private. The justification for the ticket was apparently that an officer told the man to stop and he refused.
However, whether property is publicly or privately owned, the Supreme Court has ruled that any area which is open to the public to gather or move, is considered open for political actions and the handing out of political materials.
Malls and walkways are open to the public. This means it is unconstitutional for your officers to ticket or arrest people for doing political actions in those areas, so long as they do not keep people from being able to use the walkway or shop in said mall.
You have been put on notice. Drop the ticket. It's illegal for you to exhert authority which you have not been granted by THE PEOPLE.
If further acts like this one persist we, the free PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, will pursure legal actions against your police department, and any other agency which infringes upon our FREE SPEECH, which is guarenteed in the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.
In case you don't recall. You took an oath to defend the CONSTITUTION to the best of your ability. This would be the document which gives you the authority you do possess.
Maybe you just haven't read this important document in some time?
I am copying the Bill of Rights so that you cannot use this excuse in the future.
(Note: Your department may argue that there is a law in your city which forbids free speech in certain areas. However, you must read the first ammendment to see just how far you have overstepped your authority.)

I'm sorry I had to respond to the insane letter.
Dir Sir or Maddam,
This is an incorrect greeting in the context of this being sent to a police department. It should be specifically address to the senior most individual in the department.
Yesterday, a man was ticketed and handcuffedd for distributing DVDs and flyers on what is apparently a public walkway.
Its his own fault. It is the responsibility of a protestor or organization to learn the public/private nature of where they are going to protest.
Officers on the scene, as recorded on film, were divided on whether the walkway was public or private. The justification for the ticket was apparently that an officer told the man to stop and he refused.
"as recorded on video" I am a purist when it come to using the proper terms. And the man should have stopped. When a police officer asks you to stop, than you need to stop. Doing anything other than that is interfearing with the duties of the officer.
However, whether property is publicly or privately owned, the Supreme Court has ruled that any area which is open to the public to gather or move, is considered open for political actions and the handing out of political materials.
Wrong! The 1980 U.S. Supreme Court case Pruneyard Shopping Center v. Robins, said the U.S. Constitution does not give individuals an absolute right to enter and remain on private property to exercise their right to free expression. That is the most recent and first one to look at.
Malls and walkways are open to the public. This means it is unconstitutional for your officers to ticket or arrest people for doing political actions in those areas, so long as they do not keep people from being able to use the walkway or shop in said mall.
Wrong again! Loyd Corp. v. Tanner; held that a group of anti-war protestors could NOT use the local mall property as a place to hold a protest and hand out literature. This case is the one the most reflects the situation, and the one that shows the officers and the City of Denver are well within their rights. Further research would be Hudgens v. NLRB, and Pruneyard Shopping Center v. Robins.
You have been put on notice. Drop the ticket. It's illegal for you to exhert authority which you have not been granted by THE PEOPLE.
It is not the best course of action to threaten the police, but it doesn't matter; according to the Supreme Court they were justified in their actions.
WELL you the PEOPLE aren't quaranteed an absolute right of FREE SPEECH that would be used to infringe on my LIBERTIES. There are reasonable restrictions, and it is obvious that you don't understand the first thing about the CONSTITUTION. Going to court would just end up in your organization paying a lot of money just to lose the case when the lower court doesn't want to challenge a Supreme Court ruling which has been the law of the land for over 30 years.
In case you don't recall. You took an oath to defend the CONSTITUTION to the best of your ability. This would be the document which gives you the authority you do possess.
Depends on the police department really. Some merely swear an oath to protect the people and the property of... That being said the Constitution isn't some document you get to hold up and use as a shield to violate the property rights of other citizens.
Maybe you just haven't read this important document in some time?
Neither have you, or at least you never got around to the relevent Supreme Court rulings.
I am copying the Bill of Rights so that you cannot use this excuse in the future.
Oh man. People don't understand the complex nature of American law do they? There are other laws that have been deemed Constitutional that you are ignoring. You need to read the municipal code.
(Note: Your department may argue that there is a law in your city which forbids free speech in certain areas. However, you must read the first ammendment to see just how far you have overstepped your authority.)
Federal law and Supreme Court decisions allow the restriction of Freedom of Speech when it threatens the safety or is used to infringe on the rights of others. Freedom of Speech is not absolute, if you are doing it on my private property; even if that property is made availabe to the public.
Preamble
The Preamble to the Bill of Rights:

Its the mentality of the Calvin Klein Communist set. They have no real method of discerning public from private property. They assume that since they are 'out in public' that they therefore must be on public property.

Dear NWO head-honchos,
As a junior member of the NWO, I have to admit that I'm very dissappointed in the way the organization has been run these past few years.
I will ignore, for now, the problems the organization has keeping the most secretive of plans from the hands of teenagers.
My main gripe at the moment is with the new Police State, which has been promised for some time now (Jan 2004, NWO Life Magazine, "The New Police State: Why 1984 had to wait 20 years"). I've heard buzz for 4 years now about it, and I just can't wait for the repression to begin. But instead, protesters are still allowed to roam the streets and accuse the government of murder without any type of recourse. (I was excited the past few months when I noticed that there have been less and less 9/11 truthers gathering on the streets. I originally assumed that this was because the Police State had begun. Instead, it is simply because the 9/11 truthers have been shrinking in numbers.)
Recently, a group of truthers was encountered by police in Denver. This was the perfect opportunity to display the power of the police. Instead, a single person was ticketed and handcuffed? Ticket and handcuffed?!! He wasn't roughed up?! he wasn't slammed with the butt of his gun?!? And his charges were ridculous!! Why weren't drugs planted on him!?! Where are the new laws to prevent this from happening!! This is the worst Police State I have ever seen!!
This kid will be back on the streets in no time, doing the same thing, and probably won't even have to pay a fine. If we can't get a well run Police State, how will we ever get the FEMA camps filled?
If this is the direction the NWO is heading, I would like to cancel my subscription to "NWO Life" magazine and turn in my badge.
Sincerely,
Vespaguy

We have a hella lot of freedom, and they don't fully understand that. Even in countries they consider to be more free you can get arrested for saying the holocaust was a hoax. It seems that truthers also believe that the actions of police officers, are inherently unconstitutional. That's a trend I've noticed. Any time someone is arrested, they are having their civil rights violated. Any time a cop asks someone to do something....he is oppressing them.
Free speech, is another thing that they don't quite understand. Especially when it involves them interrupting speeches, assemblies...etc. etc. Basically they believe they have the right to interrupt anything, at any time. And if you try to stop them.....you are violating their right to free speech.
