Well, I can't afford that. :(
But, I'm trying to hatch a plot involving mini-skirts, high heels, legs, cleavage, and skepchicks--whatever it will take to ambush Randi. ;)

If there is going to be cleavage, I will pay your way!

IIRC, you had dinner with him when he was in Minn for some reason?

workshop or dinner???? I may be able to do one! I'm really shy, so which is better? I'm told it'll be about 75-100 people at each event. So what's the vote? workshop or dinner?

Come to think of it, how many spaces are being sold for dinner with Randi? Will I be at a table with Randi and 5-6 other people, or will there be 50 people, in which case it is dinner, with Randi in the same room.

It's just yourself and Randi, now send in the money...

I'm signed up for the dinner, and Julia Sweeney (http://www.juliasweeney.com) keeps telling me that she is going to sign up for it, but has been procrastinating.
I'm going to bug her about it at the next Skeptics Society lecture.

How much money do you have?
As for myself, it seems I spent so much on tableware, I have no funds left for dinner. :(

Kewl! Tell her I said hi. :-) Actually, seriously, please do. I met her some months ago, and she is a wonderful, wonderful person.
I am not sure if I get to go to dinner as part of the program or not. I'll have to ask Linda. If Girl6 dresses as advertised, I'll do what I can to attend!

- Mini-skirts, high heels, legs, cleavage, and how much is this again? More or less than dinner with a wizened older gentleman?
- No offense to the wizened older gentleman, but given the choice and equal cost? :D

This is a point of clarification, people...
I can't attend the dinner, so my other plot is a diversionary tactic to see if I can get some face time with Randi WITHOUT having to pay. :D
However, if the BA is anywhere near the scene, I'll make sure to stalk him appropriately! ;)

I met Julia at last year's Superstition Bash, and have spoken with her many times since. (And seen all three of her monologues.) When you do that, you'll start using three "wonderful"s in a row to describe her. :D She's a skeptical treasure.

I'm hoping the next time I am in Lalaland to catch her show. I'd love to see all three sometime. I know a video is out for the first, but I don't know about the others.

God Said "Ha!" - Out on VHS and DVD. Julia's story of losing her brother to cancer, and surviving her own.
In The Family Way - Just finished perfoming at the Groundlings Theater. Possible related project in the works. Story of Julia's adoption of her darling daughter, Mulan, from China.
Letting Go of God: My Beautiful Loss of Faith Story - Tape of her very first performance, then entitled "The God Monologue" available from the Skeptics Society (http://www.skeptic.com). Just finished "workshopping" it at CFI-West, and is now working on putting it into final form for performance in December, or early next year. Story of Julia's gradual transformation from believer to skeptic. Very powerful stuff (and she likes my suggestions!)
For those who saw "Frasier" last night, she played Anne, the date that Frasier was trying to get rid of.

(snip)I'm trying to hatch a plan involving a fake beard and bald wig so I will be mistaken for Randi and ambushed! ;)

G6! I was hunting through my closet and found a not too bad outfit for Randi hunting...and trust me at my age I've got to really look! Pool Boy saw it and was like, "WOW! What's that for?"
I told him "be berry berry quiet, I'm hunting Wandi's hahahahahaha!"
He was not happy that I had picked out this outfit for Randi and not dinner with himself!
Anyway, I settled on the workshop, so how about those of us NOT dining with Randi eating together before the Penn and Teller show? We could get reservations somewhere, or whatever! I really hate to waste this outfit on the MickyD's drive thru, but what ever!

I received Julia Sweeney's registration this morning. She's signed up for everything....workshop, dinner, the Penn & Teller show and even joined the Foundation!

But when I got my receipt back, I realized I'd messed up the totals, and the dinner was deleted.
I could easily be talked into signing up again though.
Is anyone going to try?
Actually, is there any space left?

Yeah... Tell me about it! I've got a SMASHING outfit that I think I'm going to wear for the P&T thing anyway since {sniff, sniff} I can't afford to do anything else.
So, we're on, Kitty! I say that the skepchicks should dress to impress. Not that we aren't impressive enough already, but you know what I mean. ;)

Linda called and told me there was space, so off I go.
Thanks Linda! I get the sense that JREF can survive with Randi (hope it never has to), but not without you. :)
