After I made reservations at the hotel I asked about a shuttle service from the airport to the Tuscany. I got the info and thought I would pass it on:

SHUTTLE NAME: Showtime Tours
PHONE: (702) 261-6100
WHERE: Gate 13 (Baggage Claim area)
COST: $4.25 one way or $7.50 round trip
TIMES: Shuttle runs 24hrs./day and comes around every 20 mins. or so.

I also asked about trolley and/or shuttles from Tuscany to the rest of the strip. They didn't know of any. But I know there are a few listed here: http://www.goingtovegas.com/kpv-get.htm
I am not sure if any of them make a stop right at the Tuscany, but they do at surrounding areas.

Is it cheaper to split the fare of a taxi? Does anyone know how much a taxi would cost?

I think a number of people are arriving around noon on Thursday (which is when I arrive), so if splitting cab fare is affordable, count me in (or let me know) :)

I don't think you are going to beat the price of the shuttle; especially for round trip.

I called a couple taxi services ( Checker/Yellow/Star & Lucky Cab Company) and they all said that it would cost around $10 - $12 for a one-way trip from the airport to the Tuscany. Also, taxis will not accept credit card payments.

Thanks for the update.

This is still the cheapest I have seen among the different shuttle companies. Coach USA and C.L.S. are both $9 for round trip.

True, but there may be some obstacles for some people that might make it less than convenient...

1. Unless you are already traveling in a group of 3 or more you would have to find others that can share the cab with you. Not to mention, trying to meet up with them in the airport (always packed), recognizing them (if you are unsure of what they look like), and dealing with meeting at the same time considering flight delays, baggage claim, flights at different times, etc.

2. Same problem going back to the airport from the Tuscany.

3. No credit cards accepted by any of the taxi services.

4. Room may be limited in the taxi and with 3 or more people all luggage may not fit.

5. TIP!

Well if you really want a cheap way to get from the airport to the hotel you can always take the bus. It leaves from the same place as all the shuttles. You can take either the 108 or 109 from the airport to Flamingo Ave. and then transfer to the 202 or 807 Westbound. Should cost you $1.25 if I remember and relatively easy and quick so long as you don't have tons of luggage.

Share and Enjoy - Aaron

On two other trips I've used Las Vegas public transportation and yet it never occurred to me to use it from the airport. Thanks.

Just to make sure that I'm on the same page as everyone else...

Just as at TAM1, I planned on taking the hotel shuttle bus to the hotel and back again.

Am I to understand that there is no such bus for the Tuscany hotel? Cuz this would be really good to know. Before I actually fly there in 2 days.

BUMP for a pretty important question

Is there a free shuttle going to the Hotel from the airport (ala TAM1) or not?

Good to get this answered before I fly out there TOMORROW.

As far as I know the answer is "No".

You should look at taking the Showtime Tours shuttle as I stated in my first post or one of the other suggestions mentioned in this thread.
