I just got a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop and it has a feature called "Easy Capture". A small screen pops up and you can draw lines with a feather quill pointer controlled by the mouse. It also has a 'paste' button. That's it, nothing else.
Does anyone know what this is? There is no mention of it anywhere in the Dell information and no help appears to be connected with this thing.

It could be a screen capture utility. I found a freeware one called Easy Capture that I'm going to try out here (http://www.softtool.info/EasyCapture/) but I don't think it's what you've got. See if you can poke around in its installation folder for a Read Me file that may have more information. Maybe the the company that produced the software is named in there too. You could then search their website for more info.

I found out what this "Easy Capture" is. It's a totally useless screen where you can make a simple line drawing with your mouse then past it to an application.
I had to find the touch screen manufacturer then go to their website, then do a search.
Thanks for your suggestion. It did put me on the right track.

Are you sure that's all it does? Try pressing your PrintScreen button first, then opening the Easy Capture window and clicking that Paste button. The quill tool might be a free-form cropping tool to reshape the image you've captured.

This thing has only 2 buttons -"paste" and "cancel" . It has nothing to do with images or screen printing. It's just a simple drawing tool. The info on the makers web sit indicated that it was meant to be a handy item available on the touch pad to be used instead of opening a "paint' program.
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the thought.
