View Full Version : [Merged] Funny, I don't FEEL judged ...

So these guys (http://www.californiajudgment2008.citymax.com/page/page/4415325.htm) think that today, July 8, 2008, "could be the next Major Judgment Date to fulfill Holy Scripture!!!" The "next 911 in America" is apparently set to happen today in "Southwest California." I'm not sure where that is, exactly, so I don't know if I'm in danger or not.

As you can see if you follow the link, they've got all the classics: random capitalization, colored text, changing font sizes, and multiple exclamation points at the beginning and end of sentences. Best of all, it's all in one huge document with tons of embedded images, so it takes a really long time to load.

Don't have a really long time for loading, can you summerize?

Sure. They don't actually present an argument or coherent line of reasoning, but it seems to boil down to this:

A bunch of stuff has happened over the past several years. These events are mostly mundane and at first seem to be completely unrelated, but -- and this is the important part -- they all happened on dates that have numbers in them.
If you assign numbers to letters, you can turn words into other, more different words.
Many interesting things are written in the Bible.
Therefore we can conclude that something unspecified but terrible might possibly happen on July 8, 2008, in Southwest California.

That's weird. I come up with an entirely different result:

Therefore ... cookies!

I could show you the math, if you're interested...

The Florida Gators college school has become the latest confirming sign of this endtime timeline that the LORD GOD is using to show his awesome sovreignty in all things by having Florida do in college sports what no other college has ever done before in winning both the basketball and football national champoinships in the same season. They also did it by beating the same team Ohio State which has never happened before. Have a look at these pictures and then we'll go into looking at the prophetic numbers.
So God likes American college sports.

Yes, please, and make it quick. I'm not willing to wait for four hours for your proof! I need to go out and make cookie arrangements right away!

I got back from my bike ride in 100 degree heat, and didn't have any different physical parameters... Pressures, rates, sugar levels than the same route yesterday or a year or two years.... back.
must be something worse!
Sweet thang might show up at the door?

And Proberbs 25:2 tells us God loves to hide his secret revelations in his word and calls it the Glory of Kings to search those secrets out. "

"It is the Glory of God to conceal a matter, but it is the glory of kings to search out a matter".

Before the TWIN TOWERS of 911 crashed on Sept 11, 2001 almost nobody saw the evidence in the bible that 911 was prophesied there. But after it happened people began to discover the many places in the bible the secret revelation of 911 was hidden. Now we have 911 as a prophetic reference point in the scriptures to make it easier to discover the next MAJOR JUDGMENT of GOD that will fulfill scripture. And by his grace and mercy God's saints will avoid being caught in this calamity.

Our sincere prayer is that the Lord will show everyone who comes to this site the truth of this matter.</quote>

!!! The Lord works in mysterious ways !!!

This is incredible!

The only question to resolve is which of the Channel Islands (http://www.nps.gov/chis/) -- the most South-Western part of California -- will host this event.

Or maybe the folks living on Santa Catalina should move to higher ground ... or run down into the cellars ... or leave the island ... ?

It's not the Judgement Date you should be worried about, but the Sentencing Date.

I took a quick glance and I get the distinct impression this will make as much sense as the corn dog fiasco.

What is the deal with the inverse relationship between the amount of woo and their skill at formating a web page?

You'd think they'd at least choose a "pretty" date, like 08-08-08.

That's right, folks! 2,492 days after 9/11 (http://www.californiajudgment2008.citymax.com/page/page/4415990.htm), confirmed by the WORD OF GOD, will come a MAJOR JUDGMENT upon San Diego and the surround! And the counting of the days ends this very day, being the 8th day of July 8, 2008!

So, how's everyone doin' in San Diego? Or should we wait until after midnight PDT to ask that question?

It's all in the technique.
Read the augury -before- wiping!
The presence of the paper interferes with the trooth in the sooth.
Then flush.

Some power to some of the stuff that was on in my place here was lost for about 3 seconds.
The terror, the terror... I thought I'd never survive the re-boot!
I actually had to re-install the printer software!

At the end of the apology is this ditty from the "scriptures"

"A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished."

How's that motto for going into the future? Guess it depends on who interprets "evil"

Sorry, sorry. I calculated the gematria of "thin mints" as 119, but I forgot to carry the gimmel.

Dang, this is hard!

Apparently there's a lot of prudent people here (http://forums.randi.org/forumdisplay.php?f=91).

Luckily, for naïve readers, the "inappropriate use of double quote marks", underscoring of non-link text and coloured text in the 'oops, we were wrong message' does !!! provide at least a hint of !!! of crazy :)

At least they acknowledged their error. A lot of apocalyptic prophets just act like they hadn't said anything at all.

And they don't give back the money, either.

Sure, where do you think all that "wages of sin" stuff comes from?

Seriously, a lot of end-of-world prophets managed to convince their converts to sign over property and money to be used to spread the word, because the converts weren't going to need it anyway after the world ended. Then when the world didn't end, they just hung on to the goods.
