There's a new pic (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1035440/Incredible-pictures-Mars--look-surprisingly-like-parts-Earth.html)from an ESA probe showing a mighty Grand Canyon-esque formation on Mars. I s'pose the Martians really ticked God off as well for him to make the Noachian Deluge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noachian_deluge) a solar-system-wide event.

Anyone know a good YEC forum where I read their reaction to this?

Surely they will simply say "God made it that way".

It was the same flood, When god spits his dummy out, he really spits it out, no little 2 minute hissy fit here, "Teddy is out the pram and by Me it is staying out,"

evidently occasionally innocent passing planets are caught up in his tantrum

God wouldn't make the canyon to look as if it was created by water (or oil or whatever is the latest flavor of the month among scientists there) since that makes him out to be a deceiver.

However, a Bibal literalist might claim that there's nothing in the Bible that prevents Mars from having the same kinds of things happen on it as did on Earth. Even claiming the Grand Canyon necessarily was created by the "Great Flood", as opposed to something later, is unnecessary. I also wonder why they believe there was no rain before this. "No rainbows before it", and therefore no rain?

The Bible never says that there were no rainbows before Teh Floode. God used the rainbow as a symbol, or a sign, but there is no suggestion that that was the first rainbow.

Or so it was "explained" to me once.
