Every time Venom opens his mouth, a lie comes out. Weird.

Pardon me... not everything he says is a lie. Some of the things he says are just stupid and illogical.

"God did not make sickness and pain, only two people, Adam and Eve........we are responsible for sickness and pain..."

Allah is really Satan.....Oh this is precious.

You really think that this guy can lay a glove on the average atheist?

The guy is obviously a graduate of the Eddie Haskell smarm school.

Then again, "Amazing Atheist" isn't exactly a charismatic public speaker.

When 'Allah' is written in Arabic, the symbol used is a snake, and a snake is a symbol of satan, so allah is the devil.
And this strange young man thinks he is being logical.

Yes, that was pretty silly.

Well, supposedly now he's gone for good. He's claiming he's been receiving death threats, so he's closing down his ministry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6P1yPi4ANQ

Of course, he's got no credibility, so it's difficult to say if he's really been threatened or not. Hard to believe anyone cares enough about him to actually threaten him. My guess is that the meaning of "DIAF" finally worked its way through his fluffy little brain, and he took it as a death threat.

One less person to laugh at in life. :(

Death threats are essential to anybody who is anybody.
Rather like stalkers.

I came across one of his videos a few months back... posted a text comment pointing out that he used to get his ass kicked here regularly. I'm surprised he's ducked out of youtube actually, I always had the impression that he enjoyed the attention and controversy factor.

I clicked the link and only watched for a minute or two because that was as much as I felt like putting up with of EITHER of them, but I must say that in this case, the Creationist made his side look better composed and more rational. Maybe "Venom" is confrontational and a bit blustery, but at least he's relatively calm and straightforward in plainly, simply laying out his logic (which, on the issue of faith in atheism versus agnosticism, is correct). But the guy he's responding to is worse: mocking, derisive, yelling, almost laughing like the Joker with that elevated-pitch "you're just so pathetic and beneath me" tone... on the right side of the debate or not, his presentation is that of an unhinged nut.

That's surprising. I guess he'll still live on in Thunderf00t's videos, unless he tries to have those pulled for "copyright" issues. I'd better download them now...

Kinda has an "Art Bell" drama quality about it, though. I expect VFX will be back on YouTube in a few weeks.

You can download "streamed" videos such as YouTube uses? How?

I use a Firefox plug-in called "Fast Video Download," which you can get here (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3590).

You can find several other options with a google search for "download youtube," but this one works for me.

And I was wrong.

He's back with a video that plays like a bad movie preview.

I think his departure was mostly a calculated tactic to purge his channel of embarrassing Creationist talks, scratch his "Christian persecuted for his beliefs" itch, and get a little extra sympathy and support from his fans to stroke his ego.

The removal of the Creationist works is a good idea. It's not central to any mainstream Christian theology, and by pounding the table about it he was really giving his opponents an easy target. His main mission is to bring people to Christ, not to convince them of the truth of Creationism, and the demonstrable lies which Creationists are required to parrot was arguably interfering with that mission. I'm sure he's still a Creationist, but he's rightly realized that it's easier to sell "Jesus saves" than "Evolution was invented by Satan."

He's still a lying little fascist, but getting back to basics was a smart move.

I could only bring myself to watch a couple of minutes. The really sad thing is he clearly believes his arguments make sense. What stuck in my mind most was his argument that if you believe there is no god, you're not an atheist but an agnostic because belief implies doubt. In that case, Venom does not believe in god. (At least, using his own definition of belief.)

If god only ever made two people, Adam and Eve, who is supposed to have made everyone else? Cain's wife, for example.
