I'm confused, I thought Al Qaeda was a CIA invention who are puppets of Bush's oil-dripping palms?
This is the first independent media interview given by a well-known al-Qaeda member since May 2002, when two figures from the September 11 attacks, Khalid Sheik Mohammed and Ramzi bin al-Shibh, were questioned by Al Jazeera.
Replying to a question from Geo TV about Al-Qaeda's targets, Yazid said al-Qaeda had reached a point where they "see no difference between the [US] state and American people".
"The United States is a non-Muslim state bent on the destruction of Muslims. It is the American people who have voted George bush into power, knowing full well his anti-Muslim credentials," Geo TV quoted the al-Qaeda commander as saying.
"We have even destroyed US helicopters in Khost, Jalalabad and Helmand - reports of which have been carried by media worldwide.
"The mujahideen are hopeful and high-spirited. They are now expanding their areas of operations and carrying out actions in northern provinces too," he said.
Has anyone ever read Carl Sagan's The Demon Haunted World? Given the above, we will have to add one more attribute to the invisible dragon in my garage (You can't touch him because he flies out of the way so fast!)

So trooferism requires that al Qaeda only pretends to attack US targets. Thanks for the update!

NO, trooferism requires that AQ never attack US targets and all attacks are false flags carried out by the USG

I'm looking right at Al Jazeera's website and I see no such interview. A link would be helpful.

Yes, according to Conspiracy Theorists no terrorist attack has ever been done by a terrorist. All the "attacks" are just staged shows by the government. It's a strange world Conspiracy Theorists believe they are in; there is no such thing as a "terrorist" but your own Government wants to kill you.

No, conspiracy theorists think that there is a blurred grey area between terrorist organizations and the intelligence apparatus of the world powers. But skeptics see no grey areas. There are only bad people and good people. (The bad people are the terrorists, and the governments of countries they don't like, or leaders of the party they don't like).

Evidence? Or Straw?

I think he's got "skeptic" and "conspiracy theorists" in the wrong spot.

You are so FOS, and you know it.
Of course there is grey. LOTS OF GREY. However, in organizations as big as the USG, the FBI, and the CIA, any SUBSTANTIAL overlap between terrorist organizations and "Intelligence Apparatus" would not be a secret, as twoofers would have us believe. These agencies keep very little secret...too many people...too many mouths.
Beyond that, without proof of a given "overlap" you are merely speculating, which is the territory of the ignorant.

Evidence? Or Straw?
Walrus, I'd be careful, you're living in your own house of straw. What's the position you're addressing in your OP? That al Qaeda does not exist? That if it was created by the CIA, there would be an agreement that they would never attack the US?

I think you mean house of glass. Undesired Walrus was referring to a strawman; he was asking for evidence that sceptics see only “good guys and bad guys”. The notion of the straw house stems from a different metaphor entirely – a fairy tale, as it turns out.

Yazid openly acknowledged al-Qaeda's responsibility for the September 11
Yazid added, "Yeah and it totally wasn't Israel (http://www.sott.net/articles/show/154367-Unbelieveable-al-Qaeda-Dismisses-Conspiracy-Theories-Defends-Israel-Attacks-Iran-and-Hizbollah-)- that's a crazy theory spread by, uh, Iran. You Americans should go bomb them so we can create a new Eretz Yisrael- oh crap, what my line again- oh yeah- Allah Ackbar!"

Terrorist organisations never wish to take credit for their “glorious operations”.
Al-Qaeda appear to wish to take credit for their “glorious operations”.
Therefore, al-Qaeda cannot be a genuine terrorist organisation.
I think your problem might be with your first premise. It’s false. Therefore, your argument is unsound. (Oh, incidentally, it’s “Allahu akbar”.)

So because the CIA aided the Contras they must have created and run Al Qaeda? That's not exactly evidence.
But skeptics see no grey areas. There are only bad people and good people.
Funnily enough most Skeptics (including me) hate Bush and yet we can see that he isn't responsible for 9/11. So much for that lack of gray areas.

Wow, what can I say. Pedantic, no sense of humour... You're one of the nicer debunkers, Par, so I'll stop there :)

A pedant, as Bertrand Russell once said, is merely someone who prefers their statements to be true. Incidentally, the following was intended as humorous, was it?

Extraordinary.
