View Full Version : Obama's Berlin Speech and the Truth(tm).

You freaking kidding me?
If there was ever any doubt that Barrack Obama is anything but a globalist minion that has been sent here to give the appearance of “Change you can vote for”, this speech in Berlin clears it up. Obama fear mongers about the horrors of terror and environmental issues, and how they will only be defeated if we come together in this “New World.”
“In this new world, such dangerous currents have swept along faster than our efforts to contain them. That is why we cannot afford to be divided. No one nation, no matter how large or powerful, can defeat such challenges alone. None of us can deny these threats, or escape responsibility in meeting them.”
This is just more “New World Order” garbage under a different frontman. It really does suck that he is an excellent speaker, and happens to be very charasmatic, because he has a lot of people fooled. Hopefully your not one of them.

Can anyone say anything that contains the words 'New' and 'World' without being seen as championing the extermination of most of the worlds population? Should I bring along a gaggle of spotty teenagers in InforWars t-shirts everytime a politician mentions a new ride they went on at the World's Fair?
Maybe Ron Paul could have come along instead, and pulled that face that resembles a constipated mouse.

I wonder how the truthers, for example, would try to solve the problem of global warming without the co-operation of nations around the world. Omg, they said the word "world", it must be BS. And yes, some still think global warming is a hoax.

Remember, Global Warming doesn't exist. If it did, and wasn't an invention of the global elite, you would have to take responsibility for your own actions.

The thought of the constipated mouse look temporarily had me in shambles. He's too busy preparing for his little convention at the Target Center coming up. I'm assuming that it is actually in the parking lot of the Target.

Bingo!
Fortunately, once Obama becomes POTUS, the truth movement will find it near impossible to recruit the average joe. They will become a collection of the angry, twisted, paranoid, and insane.

Wouldn't 9/11 deniers trying to overthrow the US government and change the rules (e.g. UN, foreign policy, executing homosexuals, etc) be a "New World Order" as well?

Yes. That’s exactly what I thought when I read the original post. They’re panicking. They’re having to expand to conspiracy – no matter how desperately – to include practically every influential person.

The only difference will be that a few of the left leaning Truthers may pack it it with Bush gone, but they will be replaced by a few on the political right.

The Hard Core Truthers have , for a long time. accused the Democratic Party of being "in on it" so this should come as no surprise.
People forget all the crazy conspiracy crap there was during the Clinton administration. Expect the same in the Obama administration.

Well the global warming example mentioned earlier is a good one because it highlights the disconnect in their thinking and in a lot of discussions about international organizations.
Poll the truthers and my guess is you'll see high support for global warming treaties. Many of them would be fine with stronger international mechanisms censuring countries that torture.
Their talk throws the baby out with the bath-water but if they were able to think more meaningfully about their political outlook they'd find that they're really arguing for a different type of international co-operation, instead of none at all (barring the far-right demographic in Trutherism I'd concede).
I think it helps to demonstrate the shallowness of their ability to think and talk about politics - their worldview after all is one for which the simplification of the complex is a rule.
Seeing the injustice in the world is a lot easier when one explains evil outcomes by invoking evil motive. It saves having to take the time to explore the nature of policy-making and the systemic features of our world that create things like wars and elitism and environmental degradation.

If you are going to be the official troof proofer, you may want to correct them on "Barrack" and "charasmatic" as well. And is "monger" a verb?

From my conservative perspective, Obama is a pretty ordinary left-liberal pol whose message can be tailored to fit the moment. Loony-left, Bush-bashing twoofers will vote for him. To the Alex Jones crowd, Obama's obvious sanity stamps him as part of "It." I've said it many times: after November, the Hollywood twoofers will vanish and the balck-helicopter loons will slog on.

I think their biggest fear is that a new Attorney General, quite likely John Edwards, might start looking at domestic terrorist organizations (as he should, since they will pose an identifiable risk to the POTUS) and then where will their marching orders come from?
There is an outside chance that domestic terrorist groups might actually wish, and may have established, some ties with al Qaeda. Both think that our society is corrupt and hate Jews. A few of the white nationalists I have met are also into schemes that look to me an awful lot like money-laundering. Like THAT might be useful to a foreign terrorist organization who needs to have a slush fund somewhere that they could access in a hurry without attracting the attention of a DHS computer.

Ordinary? He was president of the freaking Harvard Law Review. That would mean that in just about any gathering, even of
harvard graduates, he would likely be the brightest man in the room. so it is official, he's BRIGHT.
Official records also show that, in any gathering of Annapolis graduates, McCain would be pretty close to the dimmest.

I think the one thing the truly paranoid fear above all else is that their paranoia was unwarranted and a waste of time and effort. Thus they find a rationalization to continue with their paranoia in spite of all the evidence that it is unnecessary.

Da Twoof would benefit from a McCain victory. He would not even be interested in looking at the security lapses or apparent disregard of the al Qaeda threat as deriliction of duty, let alone the tin foil stuff. They could then go on being morally outraged with some credibilty. There would be a large enough segment of the population, including military people, who would see it as just business as usual, and their disenchantment with the government would grow and color their reactions to Da Twoof.
Obama would be more credible in the public eye if he actually looked into the misfeasances of the Bush administrration, and people would be able to understand why he focused on that and dismissed the tin-foilers out of hand, especially after the way he was bukkaked by WAC during the campaign.
The last thing twoofers want is a credible president.

Isn't it even slightly disturbing that the Dems always nominate a genius and the Repubs always counter with a dope? There must be some sense of letdown when it turns out that Bush's IQ is higher than either Gore's or Kerry's. We had the Reagan-is-an-amiable-dolt mantra pounded into into our heads until enough people reminded the mythmakers of Reagan's incisive thrashing of Bobby Kennedy in their impromptu debate on the Town Meeting of the World in 1967 (Bobby's own opinion of his disastrous performance was ruthlessly objective). Reagan's letters reveal him as the finest writer to occupy the White House since Grant.
McCain is far from brilliant, but if Obama has an idea in his head that isn't straight left-liberal orthodoxy, he hasn't shared it with us yet.
