This is from Jim Fetzer's internet radio show for July 3 with John Lear. (Morgan Reynolds drops in by phone). Fetzer is best known for his promotion of 'TV fakery' and 'exotic weaponry' related to the 9/11 attacks but the show went off on a tangent in the second hour.

There's a whole lot of woo here. The move Capricorn One (about a Mars landing hoax) get mentioned as a 'source' and moon hoax nutter Bart Sibrel‘s ‘Moon Movie‘ is plugged several times. (Sibrel is famous for being punched out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcoyiJdeWT4) by astronaut Buzz Aldrin.)

Can't make the link work, but educate me - is Fetzer now an Apollo hoax believer? I don't know much about him except the JFK and 9/11 stuff, but don't tell me he has a PhD in Moonbatology. Is he a lizard licker too? We had a couple of extremely intelligent guys in my small home town when I was growing up and both of them tripped a breaker later. Somebody needs to tie him to a tree in the pasture before he hurts himself.

I always loved that video of Aldrin decking Sibrel!:D

I get the impression that since the 9-11 "inside job" books and merchandise aren't moving too well, it's time for the moonbats to change the channel again.

IIRC Fetzer is one that subscribes to the David Icke idea that certain people in high positions (Dick Cheney, Queen Elizabeth etc.) are shapeshifting reptilians, as well as Judy Wood and her "space beam weapons" causing the WTC collapse. It's so hard to remember which moonbat believes what without a score card anymore....:boggled:

I disagree. Sibrel is famous for being someone who deserved to be punched out by Buzz Aldrin.

I don't think Fetzer is into the lizards but it sounds like he's completely bought into the Apollo hoax CTs. He also believes the late Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone who was killed in a plane crash was murdered. It was… you guessed it, a conspiracy.

Fetzer’s loose tether on reality has finally broken free. He’s slipped those surely bonds and drifted off into the stratosphere.

As far as the moon hoax goes...I have a two words and two questions to shut them up.

Word 1. Anorthosite
Word 2. Armalcolite

Question 1. Why are the "volitile" elements such as Potassium found at a low level compared to rocks found on earth?
Question 2. Why is there a complete absence of any minerals found in water on earth?

Conspiracy Theories are like Potato chips; It is very hard to eat just one.
You buy into one CT, you are very likely to buy into others.
Not surprising at all that Fetzer is a Moonbat as well as a truther.

Considering Siberl's outrageous behavior and stalking of Aldrin, He richly deserved that sock from Aldrin.

Yes, but you can then use the bits for bludgeoning.

Clearly some people need to go an play Severance. There are few things quite as satisfying as beating zombies to death with their own arms. Although I suspect that beating Jar-jar Binks to death with his own arms would be much more so.

One of the fun things about the "Star Wars :Battlefront" games is that you can slaughter Gungans. The designers of the game hated them too, since they make them as annoyning as hell, just begging to be gunned down.

Skimmed the radioshow.

Moon is 250.000m away, flying at 25.000mph you would pass in ten hours not 3 days, Clear evidence of fake landing.

The sovjets most have been in on it, or maybe they got aliens to help fake the radiosignals from the moon.

Don´t american tv show probes leave earth in a spiral path?
How do morons like that get airtime?

Well ok, they didn´t SAY it. But if they throught it through they surely would.

The moon landing must have been a hoax. The longshoremen and cargoplanners at long beach CA, is clear evidence that americans could never have accompliced such a thing.

Just like the boatmen at the suez channel is proof that the pyramids were build by aliens.

Anyone know how the soviet are explained away?
Didn´t they have telescopes and radiotrackers.

Actually I thought I should clear this up a bit. The path the CSM/LM took to the moon was called a Patched Conic Section Orbit. Interestingly this is actually described the path exactly in its name, but I try and explain it further.

All orbits can be described by passing a Plane through a Cone and looking at the resulting intersection, as is shown in the image below.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/48/Conic_sections_2.png/800px-

With the Apollo trajectory, it was described as a Patched Conic Section, in other words, we take two conic sections, split them up into parts and then patch those parts together to form the orbit shape. As a result we get something that looks like the following image:

http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/mirrors/images/images/pao/AS10/10075090.jpg

Not actually a straight line, but rather parts of two ovals joined together.

The real issue with Fetzer's statement is not that the craft didn't go almost directly there (although it didn't), but rather the assumption that the craft maintained a constant velocity of 25,000 mph in both directions. This is not factual. While the Saturn IVB booster accelerated the craft to 25,000 mph, as soon as that booster cut out, the Earth started to accelerate the craft back towards it, slowing it down. This continues throughout the entire trip. Finally, other manoeuvres (such as the docking with LM and the moving away from the Sat-IVB) influence the coasting speed. So we have three factors that Fetzer had not taken into account for. Firstly that the Vector component of the velocity is neither directly at the moon, nor towards the meeting point, but rather along a conic trajectory, secondly, that the Earth's gravity slows that craft down, reducing the velocity towards the meeting point as the craft travels, and thirdly that the craft did various manoeuvres which slowed it down as well. All of these things are what result in the three day trip.
