Last year brought the celebrated Truth Burn, and the release of LCFC, what will this year bring?
Why the March on Ottawa (http://www.marchonottawa2008.org/) of course.
On 9/11/08, Canadians from all over the country will march to Ottawa to deliver a petition to our Parliament demanding a new Canadian investigation into 9/11
Can they be any more pathetic?
Oh, and check out the bus on that web site.

My dreams have been dashed. The "Truth Bus Design Contest" is now closed. I had visions of pastel flowers, and messages of love, and peace like "Hang em' High!" and "Death to Govt Shills!" airbrushed on the side. Maybe a hemp-nation bumper sticker and one of those hippie "my other car is a VW microbus" signs to finish it off.
That thing has to be a fuel hog. Doesn't look very "green" to me. Maybe someone should tell the environmentalist wackos that the truther wackos are driving a vehicle with the "carbon footprint" of a cruise ship. It's always fun to watch one radical group tear apart another radical group in a feeding frenzy of self righteousness.

Do it in the A Team colours, then weld some girders to it, truthburn style...
Shill proof armour plating.
Stencil on the sides of it, "out of my cold, dead, hands" then stencil on the bonnet (hood) "troof croo!"
Either that or paint it up in the colours of the mystery machine...

From their itinerary:
MONDAY, 8 SEPTEMBER 2008
PARC D’OKA TO VOYAGEUR PROVINCIAL PARK: 47.2 KM
Depart: 8:00 AM to take the Hudson-Oka ferry to the south shore of the Ottawa River before heading north through the towns of Hudson and Rigaud.
Arrive: Voyageur Provincial Park campground.
I hope that they don't plan to take the "Truth Bus" on the ferry.

If the Truth Movement announced 100 events and only 10 people showed up at each, would you say the same thing?
I mean, I could announce that I'm having a house party next weekend. That doesn't mean I'm awesome. In fact, if I do that and only 2 other people show up, it probably means I'm not very awesome at all.
Also, there's expectations versus reality. When truthers expect 1,000 people and only 100 show up, how does that equate to the Truth Movement kicking ass?

From the twoofer march site, dated April 2008:
The March on Ottawa will be the biggest street action ever for 9/11 truth, an event that will see a generation rise to its feet to confront the tyrants of our age.
From the twoofer march site, dated July 15, 2008:
So far, we have made contact with, and have began to organize events in Vancouver, BC, Kelowna BC, Nelson BC, and Calgary AB. But for our second leg of the trip – Regina SK, Thunder Bay ON, and Sudbury ON – we have yet to make contact with people willing to organize an event for the time of our arrival.
So this is our call out. Regina! Thunder Bay! Sudbury! Where are you!??! Please help our organizing committee find some activists in these cities to help us organize. Send callouts to your friends and family. I can guarantee you all of these cities have many 9/11 Truth activists each. We just need to find them!!

Hey,
We Are Change is now at $572.22 from 3 donors. Their goal is $20.000 by 9/11 this year. Last time I checked was a week ago. Since then they have received an additional $50 from 1 donor. Impressive. Only $19.427 and change to go.
Btw, having the same deadline, Richard Gage needs only 580 more members to achieve his 1.000 member goal.
I see disappointment looming ahead.

Is anything going on with the NYC 911 Ballot Initiative. They keep pushing back their dates. Originally they needed to get their signatures by June 20. Then July 20. Now they're having a push for "week of Aug 7", whatever that means (don't we usually say "week of" and use the Monday as the reference point?).... and saying they need to get the signatures "ASAP". I think they're running into time troubles. 2008 elections are 90 days away. They'll be pushing this into the next cycle, having now missed both '07 and '08.
The proof of their growing movement? These groups have all agreed to umbrella under one organization and stop the internal fighting. Excellent, dude! But they've been trying to get 30,000 or 50,000 or 100,000 (depending on how your read their blah blah) signatures for about a year, now. 50,000 signatures would be a thousand a week. They can't get their massive numbers of supporters out there to get a thousand signatures per week? Hell, we would get a thousand in a two hour afternoon blitz during the Viet Nam mobilization era in the 60s!

I laughed at the bus thing but they are calling this a "march".
September 7th – September 11th
Marching from Montreal and stopping at campsites along the way. More details here (link)
There is no link, just the word (link)
It is 123 miles from Montral to Ottawa. They want to be on Parliment Hill at nood. Say they start at 2PM as their schedule claims on the 7th, that gives them about 33 hours of walking time, getting someone to walk for more than 8 hours a day is asking a lot.
I'm willing to bet the "March" becomes a "Road Trip" complete with beer coolers.

What about Gage? He has 438 "A&E" members. In three weeks they have gained 18 members. That's only 562 to go in 2 weeks for their goal of 1000 members!
I would love to (have the time) to push Gage to prove he has 438 members (that support him).
That would be a fun project for someone with time on their hands. Get him to prove the validity of his list. I'd bet less than 2/3 are legit.

They'll be through my neck of the woods on the 31st (if they aren't out of money by the time they hit Kelowna), I'll head out to fight the massive hoards assembling at City Hall and see what's what. Should I take a wide angle lens, do you think, for the crowd scenes??
Definitely. That would be a good start for a photo essay called "Peace and quiet in Western Canada".

Btw, having the same deadline, Richard Gage needs only 580 more members to achieve his 1.000 member goal.
I see disappointment looming ahead.
Not if he can sign up a bunch of people like Marge N. O'Vera, Seymour Butz, and Heywood J. Blome. I'm confident they'll sign up.

...what will this year bring?
A handful of idiots (which will be misrepresented as "thousands") mindlessly chanting "9/11 was an inside job", led by sheepherder, woman harasser and 9/11 profiteer Alex Jones.
That's my guess, anyway.

It is now clear that the 9-11 Sheeper events for 9/11/08 are set to be their most pathetic failure yet. I expect less then 20 truthers will be down at GZ this anniversary. I will do my best to be down there and take my own photographs of their pathetic event.

Why the March on Ottawa (http://www.marchonottawa2008.org/) of course.
Can they be any more pathetic?
Oh, and check out the bus on that web site.

I think we can now quite safely say, that they failed to reach their impossible goals.
Richard Gage's goal: 1000 A&E members
Richard Gage's current figure with one day to go: 473 "A&E members"
Failure by 527 members.
WeAreChange goal of received donations: $20000
WeAreChange actual amount of received donations from 37 donors: $1740.55
Failure by $18259.45
One universal advice to all truthers: Set realistic goals.

What a bunch of putzes:
What is an HHO booster and why did we install one in the Truth Bus?
The Truth of the matter is that when it comes to building fuel efficient vehicles, the industry is so not trying. There are new technologies available to us, but they're not going to be delivered on a silver platter by the big corporations.
The good news is that people are beginning to figure things out for themselves. It's funner that way.
We suspect that 9/11 and the corporate interests of big oil cannot be separated. Isn't it a good idea then to start to look for ways to wean our way off of the petro-chemical stuff?
Our booster has been running well, but yesterday we experienced a minor melt-down. So the booster will require a bit of servicing before we can use it again. We'll fill you in once we've figured out if it's saving us fuel or not.

Hi
The 5 w's of the March on Ottawa for 9/11 Truth
Who: All Canadians and supporters of Truth
What: A March on Ottawa for 9/11 Truth
When & Where: September 2008 in Canada

To be completely fair, the 'Why' is way down under a mess of 'When & Where's, so it's more a matter of problems with presentation, and not so much about problems counting.
... but... still... Canadians?!?!?

Yeah. I'm sure that the likes of GM or Toyota Motor Corp. are just forfeiting their chance of dominating the automobile market with 150 mpg full-size sedans because Big Oil asked them nicely.

I think Canada needs to vamp up their "Stranger Danger" education
We met two twelve year old boys who cheered us on and signed the petition. They already knew that 9/11 is an inside job. In general, young people get 9/11. It's my parents' generation that is hardest to reach.

Here are the minimal truther figures for 2008.
The biggest (?) truther event in NYC has an attendance of (drum roll) 151 people (http://9-11.meetup.com/321/calendar/8343174/)! The organizers have received donations from a whopping 38 donors (http://www.wearechange.org/91108/). When you go to the site, a pop-up text appears that says "Chrismas is here". If this movement is not disappearing, nothing is.
Today is 9/11. What does the schedule say for 9/11 (http://www.wearechange.org/91108/911.html)? It says "Complete schedule and further details to be released soon. Stay tuned for updates." :eye-poppi OMG do the truthers know how to organize!!!
Oh, yes they do. ON A DIFFERENT WEBSITE (http://www.2008nowornever.com/events.html). Two websites for the same event from the same organizers. Only one site updated. Nice going there.
No wonder this guy Kris from Belgium is a little frustrated. In the comments section (of the first link :D) he says: "By the way, I don't understand a thing of all this, WHERE and WHEN should I be on 9/11?"
This is comedy.

One day of wearing black t-shirts and droning zombie-like chants, led by their sheepherder, woman harasser and 9/11 profiteer Alex Jones; then 364 days of "taking back their country" by only typing on message boards and handing out fliers and DVDs, all the while working for evil and murderous corporate America and giving a portion of their income, via taxes, to the evil, murderous U.S. Government, who will then use the labor and money truthers give them to kill 3,000 more of its own citizens and kill/enslave even more, causing the truthers to go back to the message boards and hand out more fliers and DVDs.*
*I imagine that most of the people who actually accept the fliers and/or DVDs, some whom might appear favorable, do so only to be momentarily kind to the truthers until they can get out of sight's range and toss the solicited junk in the nearest trash receptacle.

Well, I spent at least part of 11 Sept, 2008 on an airplane. Partially by chance, partially by choice, I have flown on every 11 Sept since 2001 except 2005. In 2002, I was scheduling my flights with the client, and when they asked if I was sure I wanted to return on 11 Sept, I answered, "Hell, yes." One year I managed to fly on that date twice, as I was crossing the International Date Line back to Hawai'i.

Can't remember at the moment whether it was here or on the SLC blog that I mentioned my interest in seeing how their hip-hop concert thing at Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom turned out. I've been to a few wrestling shows at the Grand Ballroom, and it was a big deal for the wrestling fed that put on the shows to run there. That wrestling fed has moved shows upstairs to the larger Hammerstein Ballroom, btw... and IIRC, the WAC's hip-hop thing was first advertised as being in Hammerstein before moving down to the GB.
Anywho, I look at the Now or "Never" website event section (http://www.2008nowornever.com/events.html) just now... and would you look at that, they had to move the event due to "circumstances beyond our control" (not enough donation money to rent the hall?) to another venue, a venue that has an "under construction" website (http://www.eugenenyc.com/), and shorten it. You know, it takes a really classy outfit to advertise an event at a noteworthy place like Manhattan Center and have to move it due to "circumstances beyond our control" days before the event. I wonder how that affected turnout. Another 7th anniversary flop?
