Hi!

When will registration for TAM2 close?

I am considering attending it, but Iīve got a problem: if I get a new job starting before February 03, I probably wonīt get the time off I need to attend (by German law, employers need not grant days off for the first 6 months of employment, and most choose not to).

I guess that if I wonīt get a job starting in January (job start with the 1st of each month usually), I will know that some time before Christmas - mid-December, I guess. Is that early enough?

Or to approach the problem from the other side: if I registered, paid, etc., and suddenly found out I canīt attend due to a new job, would I get the money back?

Registration does not close (absent a massive number of sudden registrations that overwhelms the system, say, 10,000), but the costs do go up on 1 November.

I'll wait for Linda to respond to the money back part, as she's the brains of this outfit.

Room rates at the Tuscany are only good until Dec. 16, and after that you would have to pay prevailing rates if space is available. I honestly don't know what the hotel's cancellation policy is for individuals who have booked rooms, but I can find out.
And if you have registered for the conference but cancel before Dec. 16th, I would issue a full refund. For cancellations before Jan. 7th, 25% of the payment would be forfeited. No refunds will be given for cancellations after Jan. 7th.

Hi. When I reserved my room they told me they would charge one night to my credit card right away. So I called just now to ask if that would be fully refunded, provided I cancelled by their deadline, and they said Yes. Interestingly, they also told me the deadline to cancel is sometimes 72 hours and sometimes 48 hours, and that they would have told you when you registered. I really don't remember what/if they told me. But we should be safe if we go by 72 hours.
