Have you seen the story on the kid who planted boxcutters and fake bombs on Swest Airline planes. I guess hes being arraigned today for whatever charges

What do you think they should do with the guy?? It was an act of civil disobedience and the funny part is.........HES RIGHT!!! Security does suck.. He left them clues and they still couldnt find the stuff. I guess the boxes were on the planes for weeks. They really should increase the profiling to include geeky white guys.


AS for his punishment. I SAY DEATH!!!!! Now because of this guy the airport security will be even more inane, disruptive, time consuming and useless. Thanks pal.

Security is always going to suck. Nobody will pay the cost to fly on airplanes that insure 'airtight' security, and the Government definitely shouldn't draw money from the Treasury to pay so that rich people can fly.

Despite this, the threat of a 9-11 type attack was only a realistic danger for 109 minutes (http://216.111.31.12/details.asp?PRID=32). That method of terrorist attack is obsolete. Actually, thanks to that method having been used, all methods of terrorism that rely on hijacking an airplane are obsolete.

Smuggling weapons onto a plane is as useless an exercise as trying to stop people from doing so.

You're right aero. Everyone remembers the pennsylvania plane that crashed because the passengers heard that the other planes crashed into buildings? And after 9/11, the shoe bomber was just overtaken when he lit the wrong shoe. I also remember another hi-jack attempt that failed due to the passengers taking over.

9/11 hi-jackings succeeded because the terrorists said it was just "another standard hijacking." No one who remembers 9/11 is EVER going to buy it.

The guy will probably get a sentence but hopefully not a large one. I think he did everyone that flies a service. The last thing we need is for everyone to get complacent again. As for me, I never plan on flying again unless I get rich and take that overseas trip.
