I need to find out more about conferencing software or any software that allows two people at different locations connected only by the internet to share files and the output of a captioning service that uses a web browser for its output. The sharing would have to be in real-time or instantaneous and go both ways.

The sharing needs to be restricted to selected files and web browsers only.

I’m only personally aware of tools that allow the sharing in one direction only. Can anyone offer tips as to how to find out more about this?

My googling skillz failed me today.

Thanks.

You won't find any out there that will be able to do all of those things you mentioned with the requirements you specify.

The best you can get is probably GoToMeeting but it does require a software download.

Take a look at the cost and features and see if it will work.

Corporate meeting software does what you want:

WebEx
Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro

Webex would come the closest, but it's not going to give you the same experience across all platforms and browsers. That's not necessarily the fault of Webex either.

Webex and GotoMeeting are the best options out there, though.
