Remember the strange case of Patrick Hutchinson, the English psychic who claimed that he exposed a case of child abuse during one of his shows when the abused woman's dead grandmother gave him vital information? Hutchinson claimed that he would be giving evidence in court and took the credit when a paedophile was in fact convicted of the crime. Thanks to Meercat of www.badpsychics.com, aided and abetted by www.churnerprize.co.uk, we know exactly what happened:

According to Margaret Myers of the Criminal Justice System:
“In this case, I can assure you, that the evidence provided by Mr. Hutchinson was not part of the prosecution case against the defendant. His evidence was disclosed to the defence, but neither the prosecution nor the defence called Mr. Hutchinson as a witness or used his witness statement in court.”
In other words Hutchinson had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the conviction.
