It was recently announced that the out-spoken "liberal" democratic senator Edward Kennedy is receiving the George Herbert Walker Bush Award for Excellence in Public Service. No thats not some board chairman getting back at Bush Sr., all the decisions have to go through Pappy Bush himself. The reception ceremony is set to held at the Bush Library Center down yonder at Texas A&M University :D

Seeing as how Teddy's been bashing Number-1 son lately, could it be that Pappy is sending a 'message' to Junya? (http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2003/10/18/bush_srs_message_to_bush_jr?mode=PF)

You know, I can't find (online) the orginal source for this news. Evidently, the announcement was made but without a lot of publicity.

So, Dubya is p**ed off with his neo-cons for leading him down the garden path, and daddy is p**ed off with his own son for being so gullible.

I remember reading one analysis stating that Dubya was weak, not strong, for starting the war in Iraq.

Despite what Al-Jazeera says, Dubya's dad was the one who messed up by not going all the way to Baghdad the first time around.

Its definitely "Under the Radar", (not that I'm not surprised), but heres the source straight from the website for the Bush Library:

Errr... I think we are all starting to come to the realization the reasons why Pappy Bush didn't go after Saddam when he had the opportunity. Herbert Walker might not be one of my favorite U.S. Presidents, but I recognize that he, unlike his kid, was adept at foreign politics and diplomacy.
