Flight attendant: Osteen's wife threw tantrum

It seems that Joel Osteen's wife, Victoria, allegedly threw a tantrum over a stain on an airline seat and attacked a flight attendant. The flight attendant is now suing Osteen.

Continental Airlines flight attendant Maria Johnson testified that Victoria Osteen grew increasingly agitated and pushed her co-worker Sharon Brown, though the flight attendants had remained professional and reassured her a crew had been called to clean the spill, which was about the size of a 50-cent piece.

``She was demanding that attention be given to her immediately,'' Johnson said. She added that Victoria Osteen kept saying: ``This is ridiculous. I'm a first-class passenger.''


I'm surprised that Osteen was flying commercial rather than a private jet.

As little as I like evangelists, especially the snotty Osteen family, I have to say that this flight attendant is basically trying to shake down some rich people. She claims Victoria made her "lose her religion" and also gave her hemorrhoids. It will be interesting to see if the jurors will favor "give the poor person some money" or "stop the war against religion." It is Texas, after all.

I'm siding with the flight attendant - I was punched in my left breast a few years ago, and as a result, became an atheist with hemorrhoids. Now I have my Sundays free, but I have severe anal itching.

If you read the story, you will see that she ( Victoria Osteen ) was fined $3,000 for interfering with a crew member, back when this happened in 2005..

There is a certain poetic justice in the damages she is seeking, though. Just as Joel Osteen demands 10% of his parishioners' gross income in exchange for making speeches that make them feel good, the plaintiff is seeking 10% of Ms. Osteen's net worth because she did something that made the plaintiff feel bad.

Poetic justice is not to be confused with legal justic.
