There's a tour of Penn's house on the travel channel from time to time. He has a chamber off his bedroom that has an actual electric chair in it. He says "At least it won't be killing anyone anymore."

I'm sure that he was referring to Le Grande Mort. He lives in Vegas, and he's a magician. I'll bet there's plenty of Petit Morts occuring there.
