So I got a 2 month membership gift card to the Best Buy Digital Music Store.
Um... can anyone tell me how this works? It says unlimited access, but is that unlimited download? And can I burn the songs/send them to my iPod? Or does the free subscription not cover that?
And what about if I stop my subscription after two months? Can I still listen to the songs I've downloaded?
I'm used to iTunes :p .

It means unlimited ability to listen to the music while one is connected to the internet. Technically, the music is not available through Rhapsody™ for download. Practically, you can PM me for ways to convert a stream to a file, though there will be some degradation of quality.
For some people this is an acceptable way to listen to music. For them, the point is to be able to hear it, not necessarily to possess it.
Personally, I feel that much is lost without the packaging--the cover art, the liner notes, the credits and annotations, etc.--that for me provides context for the music. YMMV.

Yes you can download anything on their list.

No. You are renting the songs, not owning them so you cannot burn it...but there are ways around it.
And what about if I stop my subscription after two months? Can I still listen to the songs I've downloaded?
No. The DRM will stop working after the subscription ends.
These things are basically rental services. Think of it as that and it is fine. I personally don't like it.
I recommend the Amazon MP3 site. Good selection and no DRM.

Hate it. You can never take your MP3s to any other MP3 player. I never want to be locked into iPod/iPhone forever.

This is also good, as well as eMusic.com/ , or digstation.com/ ;)

One is not "locked in" if one were aware of Setuni ;)
The OP was about a gifted access to Rhapsody™. Please try to stay on topic.

I buy my music on this awesome medium called CD. Still the only way to buy music if you really want to own it.

I was wrong about the availability of downloadable MP3s at Rhapsody. Years ago, when it first came out, it was streaming only, and I had not kept up with the service, for lack of interest. Sorry for the misinformation.
