It happened. That stuff what comes down when it gets cold. Snow. That vile, slippery, gently frozen liquid that falls from the sky and makes every person in my neighborhood panic. Soon we're all bringing out the snow tires, the shovels, and raiding the grocey stores for emergency rations like bread, milk, and beer.
Snow. Dang you snow, and your little dog too!

Must be the day for it, we've had it here in Dublin (Ireland)
Unbloodybelievable!

I'm not surprised until it falls in Memphis. A snow day is always a great day to find a hole-in-the-wall pork bbq joint and get some ribs or a sandwich with sauce so pungent it clears your sinuses in one sitting.

You have to move, Suezoled. I spent four years in upper state NY (going to college), and was so happy to leave.
I drove to work today in shirtsleeves with my windows rolled down. :D

No snow here, either. It has been cold and windy for more than a week.
We donīt usually get snow before mid-December, if at all, and until mid-February, latest. But with the sweltering hot summer this year, I doubt we get any snow at all. Not that I would miss it. I donīt have a car, and public transport gets all messed up by the tiniest snowflake.

I wish we had snow.
It's not looking like we are getting snow around here any time soon. I am still driving home in the afternoons with the a/c on in my car.
I wish it would snow, or at least cool down a bit.

mmmm...
Twentyfour degrees Celcius and not a cloud in the sky. I think I'll get myself some icecream.

When I looked out the window this morning all I could see was white, had to drive 30 miles to work in it.
Luckily the fog burned off after the first 10 miles and there was nothing but sun shine. Damm California weather. What is this snow stuff anyway?

I wore shorts today, crused with the AC on, and got sweaty when I went outside.

Nyarlathotep, you're standing in flames. I can see you in your avatar standing in flames. It will be hot so long as you keep standing in fire. I don't know how you can stand in it so long, really.

I know I should step out but we Elder Gods can be kind of stubborn about things like that. We have an image to maintain, after all.

"SNOW"??? What is this "SNOW" of which you speak? What colour is it? Does it look anything like the cold, wet stuff in the top of the fridge? Hmmmm... What an interesting concept !!

Ha! I love all you weaklings and your incessant whining. Snow is a glorious thing! It separates the vital from the listless. Give me a month of blizzard to a week of heatwave any day. There really is nothing better than bundling up to go out or entombing yourself in blankets at night in front of a crackling fireplace while watching the whiteness fall in contract to the black. Where's your sense of poetry! your appreciation of snow's renewing qualities? There's nothing more wonderful than awakening to that winter wonderland (to use such a cliched, but still so accurate discription) in your warm home and sitting in your kitchen with a warm cup of tea and a bagel and just watching it fall in utter silence. All worries are buried under mounds of crystalline perfection in white. Remember what snow was like when you could still see it with a child's eyes?

Snow is an abomination in the eyes if the Lord. All those descriptions of a fiery Hell? They're all wrong. Hell isn't hot, it's cold and wet and muddy.
What I miss, living up hear near the North Pole are those bracing Tucson summers, 110 in the shade and humidity so low you can feel the water being sucked out of you.

The only thing that I desliked in NYC was the cold and the snow...
It was so hot at the beach at 6 AM today :)

The Nordic legends also knew Muspelheimr; thatīs the opposite of Niflheimr, supposedly located in the far south, and itīs all fire, or heat, at least. Fire giants live there, the Muspel-sons.

I'll take snow. How would you like to have five inches of rain in one night? Thank god the sun is shining right now, I'll get a chance to dry out the gills a little.
August is the month we use to fool unwary people into moving to Washington State. Then--bwahahahah!--six months of unrelenting damp horror, and you'll never see the light of day til next September.
It's true.

*sigh* Not only is it not snowing here in CO, yesterday I ran the air conditioner. The AIR CONDITIONER. In October. Last year we had snow for Halloween. It's not looking like that this time.
Suezold, I'll trade with you - I love snow.
