This guy (http://www.mindyourmagic.com/) is selling a manual, aimed at magicians and mentalists, on how to "instantly boost your income" doing cold reading. And according to his FAQ (http://www.mindyourmagic.com/FAQ%27s.shtml), it's not just (or at all?) for magic or mentalism shows:

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
- Who were the Sim Stones And Manual Created For?
Mentalists, magicians, novice of pro. In fact, anyone who wants to earn more money from their magic or mentalism.
- Is it easy?
Even if you've had no Cold Reading experience, the Sim Stone Manual uses no - nonsense plain language to guide you gently into giving readings for fun and profit.
- How much can I earn?
It's up to you! If you charge $20 - $30 for 20 min readings at a busy Psi fair, most readers can take around $300 - $400 a day.
- Where can I work?
Psi fairs, private parties / functions, tea rooms, cocktail bars, in fact, anywhere there are people present!
+ I'm an experienced Mentalist, what will I get from the system?
The Sim Stones will give you a powerful weapon to add to your existing Cold Reading repertoire. In addition to this you will be able to cut through the competition. Sim Stones are only supplied to a limited few so you will have the edge over all your competition.
+ Where can I get a set of Sim Stones?

(formatting as is from the source)

eta: Maybe I'm not understanding this, but at a "psi fair" you wouldn't be doing a mentalist/magic performance, right? More like implying that you're psychic? What is a psi fair exactly?

I always wonder how many psychics are mentalists. And indeed, how many of their customers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3YUlcyPXLo)...
