The poster of the video on YouTube thinks Biden was drinking. The alternative explanation is that he's trying to be folksy. But it's definitely a weird speech.

I watched the vid...
I think maybe he was drinking...but so am I.
Big deal...the dude has a memory like a safe.
He knows where Iraq, and Iran are....and who is calling the shots.
Have a cocktail Joe.

How do you know it was a weird speech? The video cut off before the speech started.
This is about as lame as it gets, Brainster. You're treading into BAC territory here.

The poster of the video on YouTube thinks Biden was drinking. The alternative explanation is that he's trying to be folksy. But it's definitely a weird speech. A random bozo on the internet thinks X, sans evidence. And whaddya know, a thread appears on a skeptical forum hyping X.
If only this thread were inane. It aspires to inanity.

Hey, cut Brainster some slack, will ya? For all we know his candidate might die any minute now. :p

And here I thought I was treading into Chipmunk Stew and X-Box Warrior territory.

It certainly seems like it when he introduces himself. We'll know for sure if he walks onto stage against Palin chewing a Kebab.

From the first couple of moments, I'd say that he had tied a couple on. How the entire event sounds there compared to how we hear it are two different things, as the Dean Scream will forever remind us.
But I don't think Biden's ever had or been treated for an alcohol abuse problem. A single incident the day after that convention isn't a trend.

From the first couple of moments, I'd say that he had tied a couple on. A couple of moments isn't much to go by. Also, when I'm sleep deprived I talk like someone who has had a drink or two. Just sayin'.

Yes, which is why I qualified it. The second half he doesn't seem as bad at all.

It should also be pointed out that drinking on the campaign trail is a time-honored tradition, especially on the Joe Sixpack circuit, so if Biden did throw a couple back, why would he deserve special attention?

I just thought it was funny. If Biden was a little tight, it was only a little. It was more a po-ed reaction to the "Did McCain's Plane Really Crash" thread which ticked me off.

Everyone on youtube always sounds a little 'drinky' to me, might be an artifact of the audio compression.

He still makes more sense than W does in similar situations.
He does sound tired.
He's old, okay? He has to be a little burned out still, this weekend. Sounds like some football players I hear being interviewed after a major game. He's still pumped here.
I would like to hear what follows.
