In another segment, the communications to Air Force One and also in the presidential limousine were not working or was sporadic keeping Bush cutoff from the White House. What are the chances this would happen in a time of crisis? I concluded the Israelis must have jammed Presidential communications to keep Bush from issuing orders to shoot down the planes thereby increasing the chances the hijackings would be successful. Previously, I was aware the Israelis issued a coded threat against Bush when he was abroad Air Force One falsely indicating the terrorists were aware of presidential communications.

I turned to ABC and Jennings went to Robertson who was reporting live from the balcony of his hotel room. The missiles were clearly flying in the background with explosions on the horizon.
