I went to a very BIG school. My sister went to a very LITTLE school.
I blended in with my small group of friends. She became a standout and was homecoming Queen and girlfriend of the school quarterback...and went on to give a great speech for graduation.
MY school seemed like a prison. Due to it's size, I believe they ruled with an iron fist. They had to keep things under control. In my sisters school there was/is more interaction with students who all know each other. Plus there seems to be a better relationship between students and teachers. It's more personal
Small schools in small towns can have an ugly side though. If you get on the ****-list amongst your fellow students, it can be a living hell. I know (from case students that I know). They are limited to as to who could be their friend. Maybe they have none. Then again, others are like the big cheese. In a big school, even if you are a cast out among some, you can meld in with some other group, probably.
Since we can't live two lives back to back and first go to a big school and then go to a small school, and then see how your personality turned out...we have to sort of theorize as to what influence a school's size has on the student, and what can be attributed to their genetics.
