View Full Version : Was the USS Cole an inside job?

Okay. I probably need to pre-empt the opening salvo of flame-grams by stating that I do NOT believe that it was an inside job.
I believe that Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, with financing and blessing of UBL, carried out the attack and murdered seventeen of my shipmates.
However, points have been raised in other threads that got my blood pressure up, so rather than continue to off-topic more 9/11-specific threads, I began this one.
So, let's hear the argument for why the death of these men and the crippling of a multi-billion dollar guided missile destroyer was ordered and sanctioned by the U.S. Government.
And PLEASE, let's hear it in something more substantial than "they're intelligence agencies, they can do whatever they want" or "They ordered 9/11, and they ordered this too!" The people on this forum are not stupid. Give us evidence to refute the official story. I'm talking names, dates, scientific data, real meat that we can sink our teeth into instead of parroting a line from your favorite CT author. No generalizations, please.
Oh, and bring your "A" game, because I was a guided missile destroyer guy for 6 years, and have plenty of firsthand experience to swat down any half-assed arguments.

If you are ever unsure if someone think something is an inside job, just remember that there are some people, such as John Lear) who think everything that ever happens is an inside job.

How sadly true...I have an inkling that my challenge may go unanswered.

UBL is owned and operated by the USG, which is itself a subsidiary of the NWO INC.

without question, the attack on the USS Cole was an inside job. The pattern fits here.

Fits HERE? Are you implying that somebody at JREF blew up the Cole?

I admit it it was me, I was also the one that pulled the bung out of the boat when Al Qeada operatives tried it on the USS The Sullivans 10 months earlier, after all I couldn't have them successfully pre-empting us with their own terrorist attack and ruining the careful groundwork the NWO had done up to that point letting them steal our glory.

Inside job. That implies that ship's company was complicit.
Force Protection doctrine at the time was nowhere near what it is post-9/11. The only way that boat would have been fired on is if they had fired upon us first. Pre-9/11 they would have had no more than one or two M60's or M2 .50 calibers stood up, and even then, they would have been in peacetime Condition IV - bolt locked, no ammunition on the feed tray.
Are you really insinuating that the CO of the USS Cole had forewarning of the attack and not to respond to the threat? Sorry, friend, but that dog won't hunt.

Ohh right - an appeal to authority in the opening post, and I dont think the ability to dress like a guided missile destroyer is proof of much anyway

Oh there's a pattern alright. A definite pattern. But more like a predictability.

Not quite understanding where you got "dress like a guided missile destroyer," but if I did that would be something. I would think 8800 tons of steel would chafe in the "keel region" if you get me.

Sorry - odd humour alert...I just pictured you prancing around a fancy dress party saying...I am a destroyer I am a destroyer. Anyway I thought your bow thruster might be cause for greater concern ;)

Actually, directly under the bow on this class of ship is a rather large gadget known as the SQS-53 hull-mounted sonar array. It's big, bulbous, and flat on the bottom. When a DDG-51 class takes a fairly hard wave, this thing slaps down with all the effect of a beaver tail. This, in turn, makes pots and pans fly all over the galley and has the added benefit of making the sonar techs throw up.
And by the way, thank you for turning my challenge into a a big gay prancing sailor party. That's not your business. What happens at sea stays that way, bucko.

And if that happens while the ship is passing over a submarine..would that be like a tea bagging?

Where can you find pleasure
Search the world for treasure
Learn science technology
Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true
On the land or on the sea
Where can you learn to fly
Play in sports and skin dive
Study oceanography
Sign of for the big band
Or sit in the grandstand
When your team and others meet
In the navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In the navy
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In the navy
Come on now, people, make a stand
In the navy, in the navy
Can't you see we need a hand
In the navy
Come on, protect the motherland
In the navy
Come on and join your fellow man
In the navy
Come on people, and make a stand
In the navy, in the navy, in the navy (in the navy)
They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit
If you like adventure
Don't you wait to enter
The recruiting office fast
Don't you hesitate
There is no need to wait
They're signing up new seamen fast
Maybe you are too young
To join up today
Bout don't you worry 'bout a thing
For I'm sure there will be
Always a good navy
Protecting the land and sea
In the navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In the navy
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In the navy
Come on now, people, make a stand
In the navy, in the navy
Can't you see we need a hand

Come on and join your fellow man
In the navy
Come on people, and make a stand
In the navy, in the navy, in the navy (in the navy)
They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit
Who me?
They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit
But, but but I'm afraid of water.
Hey, hey look
Man, I get seasick even watchin' it on TV!
They want you, they want you in the navy
Oh my goodness.
What am I gonna do in a submarine?
They want you, they want you in the navy

Ridiculous. The failed attack on the USS The Sullivans was an inside job too.
Don't you get it! Everything is an inside job! Open your mind, man! Free your biscuit! THERE IS NO FORK!

There is no evidence that the USS Cole attack was an inside job.
But 9-11 Sheepers dont need evidence......they have "the NWO" to explain everything.

The explosion went -into-, not out of, the Cole.
How the device got there, that's also documented.

That's what a shaped charge will get you. They could have put her on the bottom if it weren't for the quick action of the damage control squads. It speaks volumes about the guts and ingenuity of the first responders, since most of the time on a DDG, you don't normally drill shoring up a hole of this size with any sort of regularity.
As if the photo wasn't enough proof that the explosion came from the outside, any sort of explosive planted on the other side of that bulkhead (portside midships would be the far side of the chow line above the waterline, and the machine shop and refrigeration decks/mainspace access right below) would have been about as obvious as balls on a stripper.
