US official escapes rocket attack (http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s975345.htm)
Several rockets have hit a hotel in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, where the United States deputy defence secretary, Paul Wolfowitz, has been staying.
Up to 15 people were wounded when the Al Rashid Hotel was hit shortly before dawn local time.
I'm actually working as a first-aid officer at the Bagdhad hotel. They had to pull Wolfowitz out from under a bed screaming, "OMIGOD! OMIGOD! OMIGOOOOOD!"
Later, he asked a marine at a debriefing if all battles were that scary.
"They can be, sir. Sometimes the explosions go on for hours at a time."
"Woooow!"

The report Wolfowitz writes on his Iraq trip will be most interesting.
Here I was, just minding my own business while staying at the best luxury hotel in the middle of the Green Zone (the safest area in the country), with hundreds of the best trained and best equipped soldiers in the world close by when all sudden, "BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! ..."
Wow! I did not know that war could be so sudden and loud.
Yeah, I guess the president did the right thing by taking his one month vacation in Texas.

I forget where I read the article, but a Washington official went into Iraq, declared the occupation a wonderful success and implored the media to write stories about all the positive developments, specifically mentioning safety. He stayed for less than 24 hours and slept in Kuwait's finest hotel.

Wolfie will probably get raging hormones, and want to escalate/retaliate/etc. Maybe even start looking for new targets.

Here's an interesting little claim about the rocket attack:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2003492786,00.html
According to this article, the rockets were French-made, produced during the period Iraq was under sanctions. There are, of course, a number of ways these things could have ended up in Iraq, but none of them are flattering to the French.

What makes you think he takes his strategic thinking out of the Hamas Handbook?

Maybe it's little things like: he promoted going after Iraq in the first adminstration meetings after 9/11 because the WTC, etc, were destroyed by... Saudi Arabians.
