I have posted in the Science forum about the Tornado fuel saving device. This sort of spawned my idea for this thread. It hit me, that now I drive a vehicle that gets almost DOUBLE the gas mileage of my LAST vehicle. Each of these vehicles is comparable in the fact that they have been able to transport my work tools and supplies for my business.
Yet, one gets about 20 mpg while my last one got 9-12 depending on what time of the year. I spent about $2500 on gas last year with the old vehicle. This year, I will be spending approaching half of that. Wow! Money in the bank!
I can now help fuel the economy, rather than the oil companies. I don't know if there is a big difference or not, as to who you do your business with. But for some reason, I feel that it is more helpfull if I can take and spend money on various manufactured goods.
From the governments perspective, they might apreciate that fact that with fuel saving vehicles, our reliance on foreign oil will go down. (It sounds like I entered some time machine where I zoomed back to 1973, doesn't it?)
Also, this allows me to now be able to pay my taxes, instead of cheating.:D And the government should be very happy.
With these last two or three things in mind...perhaps it would be to the advantage of the government to give away good used vehicles that get good gas mileage. They could start a program where they get all trailer trash people who drive 1966 Buick Wildcats, Pontiac Bonnevilles, and other big 'boats' that are fuel guzzlers, to trade in those vehicles, and the government will *GIVE* them another vehicle for free...because it makes economic sense, in the long run.
It could also be done on some voucher system also.
Whatdayathink?
Oh....and *IF* Tornado devices truly work...they should give THESE away, also!!!!!
