Just a quick request for a show regarding the claims of the website thunderbolts.info, which (like all pseudo-science) is incomprehensible to those with no background, sounds really convincing to those with a little knowledge, and is utterly ridiculous to the scientific community... but could it be true?

To quote: “Today, nothing is more important to the future and credibility of science than liberation from the gravity-driven universe of prior theory. A mistaken supposition has not only prevented intelligent and sincere investigators from seeing what would otherwise be obvious, it has bred indifference to possibilities that could have inspired the sciences for decades."
David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill, Thunderbolts of the Gods

They call the LHC a "$6 million circus" and compare black holes to unicorns... I'd love to hear your take on it, especially if you can get an astraphysicist to discuss the finer points... maybe a collaboration with Phil Plait?

Thanks for a great show.

Welcome to the forums, daedekeas. I'm not aware that the "electric universe" theory has made a significant incursion into popular thought, so I'd be surprised if Brian would dedicate a show to it.
