I think you are being very generous to theists . . . or at least some of them. ;)

Ya gotta admit though, two-sex reproduction has many more attractive features than merely budding.
Gotta give that to evolution!

I found out - through my Mormon Deep Genealogical Charts - that I evolved from the top layer of the initial pond scum. So I'm just a little more refined than the rest of you. (and slightly better looking)

And you gave her proper medical attention, right?

Their Dad hasn't been around much... I think He was a bit of a drifter.

Nonsense. Pond scum is photosynthetic bacteria, quite some distance removed from the ancestry of heterotrophic animal life.

Actually, I'm autotrophic. But then I evolved from a human tooth soaking in a tub of Coka Cola.

No, no, I'm pretty sure they all roll off an assembly line somewhere. Batteries not included.

We rabid atheist are diseased. She had better get inoculated against us...quickly make her read the bible.

I heard someone say recently that G. Bush (the younger) was autotrophic. Well, actually he said G. could go eat himself - but it's sort of similar.

By an odd coincidence, he's also hermaphroditic.

And, to the chagrin of many, we are inevitably related to one another by common ancestry. Yes, it's true ;)

Making someone read the Bible - really read it - is one good way to get them on the road to atheism.

So were the Jukes and the Kallikaks.

Exactly. So it should say Atheists share a common ancestor to pond scum....at least that is what all the current data says.

Questionable. If there any evidence that the mamalian evolutionary line includes any freshwater scums?

Creationists never evolved from pond scum.

Back beyond the parting of the families and species before #26 ("The Ancestor's Tale", the progenitors of everything animal were seperating from blue-green algaes, things like Rhinosporidium seeberi (causes nasal problems in mammals), were the first -after- leaving the leaving the lines of fungi (#34).

In any case, science fiction has already demonstrated all life on Earth, including humans, evolved from bacteria in a dog's pile left on barren rocks by a spaceship making a rest stop.

Okay Ms. Moderator, explain to my why my thread "Atheists are worse than Hitler" needed to be moved, but this one and others similar did not. Is this adding anything significant or serious to a discussion of religion/philosophy that my thread did not? I'm not criticizing this thread, but I think it is a fair question. In fact, my thread was in response to several thread titles suggesting that atheists were immoral or stupid by virtue of their being atheists, so there actually was a point to my thread.

Atheists evolved from pond scum!
Still better then evolving into scum, pond or otherwise. Still got some scum in me, so I must need to evolve some more.
