View Full Version : The Florida Stripclubs

Andre Dubus (House of Sand and Fog) has written a new book, The Garden of Last Days, about one of the hijackers. It is a fictional tale, but clearly the rumours of the stripclub visits has interested Dubus enough to imagine the encounter. I'll be picking the book up tomorrow.
I always found this theory of why they would have visited the nightclubs (In an interview between Yosri Fouda and Abdallah Schleifer) to be interesting:
My own instinct is that just as they inhabited a psychic or psychological state that convinced them they were reliving the Prophet's experiences at the very moment they were about to violate both the very strict shari'a ("Islamic law") rules governing war and the Prophet's canonic sayings condemning the killing of civilians, so they must have assumed that the purifying nature of their approaching martyrdom gave them some sort of cosmic dispensation.

Notes from Hopsickers book
11. Atta, Keller, a stripper named Linda and two Germans, Peter and Johan, partied for three days in Key West. Atta paid for everything. Rented three rooms, one just for the men’s luggage, which Keller says contained drugs. The men had a business meeting the women were not permitted to attend. Met with people, Keller says, who flew in just to meet Atta. Somber and quiet after meeting. (Key West Airport a known drug transit point. The Sheriff used to be under orders to keep the dope sniffing dogs off airplanes, and at one time even sent patrol cars to escort the drugs to Miami.)
12. Atta was already a licensed pilot when he arrived in the US. Licenses from many different countries. He had the privileges of an instructor while he was at Huffman Aviation, and may have helped pilot South American drug runs.
13. The FBI timeline says Atta left Venice Florida in December 2000 after completing his flight training. But he didn’t. Dozens of locals say different – his landlord, neighbours, cab drivers, restaurant employees and his girlfriend, for a few instances – and have been told not to talk about it by federal authorities. The FBI publicly sought information regarding Atta’s time in various US locations, but not Venice Florida, where he spent most of his time in the US. Why the intentional misdirection? What are they trying to keep hidden?

Why should I trust Daniel Hopsicker? He lied about Makram Chams, why would this matter be any different?

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the reports of drinking and hanging out with strippers. First, it's acceptable under Islamic law to do that sort of thing to blend in with your enemies, and second, many of the reports are dubious at best.

. . .and? Let's assume everything said in the OP is true. What does that matter? It's interesting from a psychological perspective, but what argument is this supposed to be in support of?

So...because it was reported years ago means its not important or valid?

It was contradictory and irrelevant then and it still is now.

Exactly on both accounts. Takfir as well as shoddy witness testimony can account for any reports of such.

I've said it before but it bears repeating: Daniel Hopsicker is to investigative journalism as Cheez Whiz is to gourmet cooking.
He offers no evidence for half of his Oh Gosh Gee Golly It Sure Seems Funny to Me accusations, and the keystone of his argument, Amanda Keller, has come out and corrected her attention-seeking statements that she knew Atta. Her story is full of holes, anyway - as are(plural) all of Hopsicker's. SLC has diced him up a few times. And it's not just his Florida nonsense. His other books are equally flawed. (And equally "Out of Stock" not just at Amazon, but at his publishers. Apparently the only mention Hopsicker gets is in CT threads.)
Time for Godwin:
And he speaks at symposiums organized by noted historical revisionist David Irving. Great find, Roundhead. Except that we've all read it and seen it debunked over the three years since he published this garbage.

I just thought a group of people interested in the fringe stories of the hijackers might be interested that a popular author had written a book about one of the fringe stories. Sheesh, I'm sorry I tried.

Google is your friend. I gave you a hint above. Look into Screwloosechange and Hopsicker for a short tour. Then go check out WAG for what kind of ridicule his fellow troofers put on him.
Anyone can print an accusation. You just numbered some of them and your only cite for veracity is that it is in a book. It's in a book by the guy who's making up the crap and peddling it to you sheeple. He cites no evidence for the brilliant points you repeated. (Give me the evidence for the ludicrous Jeb Bush claim, for instance. GWB was so worried about his NWO agent, Atta, that he sent his brother down to Venice? Gawd, gimme a break!)

But, are these statements actually true? It doesn't seem so.

Naaah, that part was interesting and noteworthy. Yet, it wasn't in need of a response, but when the Hopsicker pseudo intellectuals trot out his tired old lies, one has to step in.

Apparantly this thread is not literally about FL Stripclubs.
I was kinda happy to see such a thread amongst all the CT threads.
Of course I am always available should anyone want to PM me pictures of strippers.
Carry on...

I volunteer to personally investigate the stripclubs they reportedly frequented. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it. :)

Has any of you guyses ever actually been to strip clubs? I mean, they'z ain't the fun and games people make 'em out to be; they're kinda sad, actually. You always see the same old regulars over and over ogling unenthusiastic chicks with more ink than the NYTimes, Sunday edition, buying drinks and lettin' them complain about their boyfriends and talk about going back to school and bitch about the other dancers and complain about grope-happy customers, and you see this over and over and over an... uh... I'm revealing too much with this, aren't I?... :o

Quit going to strip clubs for lunch or on weeknights. Pink Pussycat on a Saturday is a Miami must.

You've been going to the wrong stip clubs. If you are in Minneapolis I'll take you to Deja Vu. I assume you are old enough and/or not too old. When I'm sitting there with my $10 ginger ale I just gotta yell "GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
Actually, it's been a few years since I've been there, the kids arrived and my friends got married and had kids.
