Okay, most of us who post here are (at least temporary) political junkies who spend way too much time on the Internet on this stuff.

So, my question is this: what will you do with your time after the election?

I suppose I'll get more sleep http://forums.randi.org/imagehosting/774747df2e208c4f4.gif (http://forums.randi.org/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=11313)

I'll probably go back to spending more time on the religion and paranormal forums. Or maybe take up macrame.

At this point I expect I'll go to sleep for about 3.5 years, then be alert and active for about .5 years, and then quite probably head right back to bed for another 3.5 years.

Volunteer for a military experiment, get frozen for a thousand years, and wake up to a bunch of stupid people who will make me president.

I'm thinking of running for mayor of a small Alaskan town, and then take over the world!

I'll be looking up hangover cures as I intend to get VERY drunk.

Maybe I can get some decent poetry done, maybe get my first collection published. About the only poetry I seem to get out these days is created straight to YouTube.

I probably could stand to go out and fire a few rounds at the range to keep myself proficient with all my weapons, just in case somebody does something unseemly because they don't like the results of the election.

Water is the key. Drink at least a quart of water before you go to bed. Dehydration is the thing that causes most hangover problems.

I am sure that, for many people, whether celebrating or bemoaning the results, 5 November will be a "Bukowski Dawn."

True.... and drink lots of water during the run up to the big night as well. Hydration is the key.

:)

He'll probably have some pretty strong opinions, especially at about 2am, so be prepared for some exciting discussions.

Sleep, do some clean up and fix up around the house, perhaps take a road trip to somewhere scenic.

It will feel strange not going out and knocking on doors for the campaign.

Congrats!

You going to give him a Palin-esque name?

Perhaps "Ballot" or maybe "Exit Poll"? Or maybe go old-school and name him Chad.

If McCain wins, I will bow and shake my head, snicker in contempt, and then watch and see.

If Obama wins, I will clap, smile, and then watch and see.

Congratulations! As much as we have disagreed on a number of things, I find this wonderful news and wish you and your wife the greatest good fortune.
