Real Angels

In reading this week's commentary about angels (very interesting and I think that's really where the myth comes from), I was thinking about angels and people's friggin' obsession with them.

"guardian angel' this and "my guardian angel" that.

woo-woo

On the other hand, I do believe in angels, but they're corpereal. They are real humans. People who make that phone call you won't and finally reunite you with your siblings, folks who cover your butt when you need it...

So that's my little ditty on angels.

Someone once told me that dogs are just angels with fur. Which made me think that angels much scratch themselves a lot and eat everything within their reach.

I can agree with that. I had my dog for 17 years and he was the best. But he did scratch and eat a lot. Oh well.

Bill Nunn did a wonderful job portraying a physical therapist, "Bradley," in the movie, "Regarding Henry." There are lots of unsung folks out there who do this sort of thing for real, every day.
