I also post over at "Ain't It Cool News" (the film site), and came across this gem regarding the film '300' (this was in a 'Quantum of Solace' review thread):
300 Was/Is Racist!!!

First, the movie changed some of the historical events, and as you may know, one man's hero, is another man's terrorist!!! Now, the movie 300 is really about race baiting, in order to make Persians/Iranians look inhuman, and to demonize them!!! What a coincidence that this movie came out just in time for the U.S. to start threatening Iran??? I say there are no coincidences in life, and if they do exist, they are very, very rare...and this isn't one of them. It's called a Psi-Ops, and mental conditioning...a form of brainwashing of the public!!! Yep, this was a part of a much wider pre-planned propaganda campaign move to make the movie version of the comic book, for purposes of subliminally brainwashing many in this country, making the case that any war against Iran is just, and fair. And the fact that you bought into without asking any questions proved that it worked, at least, with some. I'll remind you that the Iranians protected the Jews from the Arabs and others, throughout history; I believe they even protected Jews from the Nazis. Recent problems between Iran's new President and Israel, do not speak for Iran. Iran's people are said to love America and the West...this is a known fact. The real rulers of Iran are its religious leaders, not its President, and one of those leaders is running against the current Iranian President because he disagrees with his positions on Israel--also a fact!!!
As for the Spartans, they did not have clean hands, and there is an argument that they were not the good guys. Hell, they killed their own children, who happened to be disabled??? And many healthy children were intentionally killed during fight training!!! So much for being the good guys???!!! They sound like Nazis to me!!!
Here's my response (edited because you're allowed to swear your bollocks off on those forums, and I do!):
You need help. Serious help.
The Persian Empire no longer exists, obviously - and the vast majority of your average filmgoers would not equate the Persians with the Iranians, so it's not exactly the most effective bit of propaganda is it?
'I bought into it' - no, sorry; if I 'bought into it' and 'it worked' then surely I should be a rabid Iran hater? Fact is, I don't give a **** about Iran, and I think you'll find that most people who watched 300 didn't come out of it suddenly thinking, "*********** Iranians...".
You further **** on your own 'propaganda' theory by suggesting that the film's heroes resemble Nazis; so once again: not a very good bit of propaganda is it?
In short, you're a *********** delusional idiot with far to much time on your hands and an overactive imagination.
I bet you think 9/11 was an inside job as well don't you?
I may have been a bit harsh on the chap, but AICN isn't known for its' members reserve and respect for one another - do unto other before they do unto you is my motto over there.
Has anyone else heard this mentioned in respect of the film 300, or is this guy just a lone tinfoil-hatted nutter?
