I dunno, this actually looks decent. Phillip K. Dick (author of Minority Report, Blade Runner, Total Recall) is a hot commodity in Hollywood right now.
John Woo directs. I'm not a big fan of John Woo.
Ben Affleck movies, and by that I mean films where Affleck gets top billing, generally suck ass. "Changing Lanes" was an exception, maybe, but all those religious themes bothered me.
"Paycheck", however, looks pretty cool. I'd still prefer to see Ed Norton in this role.

I'm a big fan of John Woo's Hong Kong work, but he's yet to make an American movie on par with Hard Boiled, The Killer, or Bullet in the Head. I've got high hopes for Paycheck; he's long overdue for a return to form.

paycheck looks promising
i did like changing lanes and im one of the few people who enjoyed daredevil. plus good will hunting was great in my opinion.
y'know that old cliche, any publicity is good publicity? well, that's not true, the world is sick of ben and even if this movie is good and worth seeing i don't think people will flock to the theater.
he really screwed up his own career with the jennifer lopez fiasco. keep your private life private.
of course that's hard to do when youre being followed 24/7
what's my point again?

Changing Lanes is really good. Daredevil is ***** but it was twice as good as that pompous twaddle, Good Will Hunting. Not only was Ben in it, but, even worse, that bastard Robin Williams. Matt Damon, has made far more interesting choices, so far, than his buddy Ben. Bourne Identity and Talented Mr. Ripley by themselves make him much better than Ben. There is still hope for him, though. I don't think he is a bad actor, just overexposed and has made some bad choices.

Come on, Ben's been in good movies, he just made them suck.
Just like Alec Baldwin (wtf would you make him Jack Ryan or Jimmy Doolittle?), Anne Heche, George Clooney, J. Lo and others. They've been in great movies that sucked for one reason, they were in them. Harrison Ford is heading that way.

I'm only into Ben in combination with Kevin Smith movies. Loved him in those.

I like a few of his roles outside Smith's films, but I think he does some of his best work with Kevin. If you frequent the View Askew website and/or forum you'll know Kevin would probably cast Affleck in every leading male role he wrote, and they've been friends long enough that he knows Affleck's strengths and how to get a good performance out of him...though he still shoots him down on the ad libs.

Ben Affect-less is limited in range -- he can only act out two emotional states:
with stubble and without.
In Neuromancer, the character Armitage is described persistently as being blandly handsome. I think Afflack-ing should play Armitage. All the girls in my office LOVE Ben Afflunk. I suppose I would too if I had a lobotomy and I were a girl.
