I heard this on the news last night. A black man, after robbing a white girl at an ATM machine noticed her McCain bumpersticker when she went back to her car and then
allegedly attacked her some more, carving a B into her cheek with his knife. Of course
the B was backwards. Here's the end of the story today:
Police: McCain volunteer made up robbery story
By JOE MANDAK – 33 minutes ago
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A McCain campaign volunteer made up a story of being robbed, pinned to the ground and having the letter "B" scratched on her face in a politically inspired attack, police said Friday.
Ashley Todd, 20-year-old college student from College Station, Texas, admitted Friday that the story was false and was being charged with making a false report to police, said Maurita Bryant, the assistant chief of the police department's investigations division.
Police doubted her story from the start, Bryant said.
Todd, who is white, told police she was attacked by a 6-foot-4 black man Wednesday night. She now can't explain why she invented the story, Bryant said.

Sounds like a scarce tactic. Black Obama supporters carving up white McCain supporters.

No, it sounds like a scare tactic, not a rare one.

It'll likely backfire.
Only a small number of news channels ran this story. One local channel and guess who? Fox News!
Of course the wonderful Right wing talk show hosts also railed against those "Obama Supporters" without doing some simple fact checking. Now everyone is backtracking.
It was kinda funny. CNN reported this hoax and was basically laughing at Fox News and the right wing talk show hosts.

Depending on how deep she scratched that letter into her face it might end up being a scar tactic.

Do we really need ANOTHER tread on this?
A merger with the one in the Election 08 forum is suggested.

CNN might want to read their website, then. They covered the story too, before the hoax was discovered (although, the police were clearly skeptical).

No black man, after not robbing a white girl at an ATM machine did not notice her McCain bumpersticker when she went back to her car and then allegedly - but didn't - attack her some more, not carving a B into her cheek with his knife. Of course the B was backwards - not.
Who cares about facts when there's a good scar(c)e story to be floated?
Skeptics, Muslims, Chinese, Japanese, blacks....
Who's next? Women? Kittens?

The "B" she carved into her face was backwards because she used a mirror to do this unless you are saying she is dyslexic.
Todd has been referred for psychological counseling.

neltana pointed that out 10 days ago in this very thread. I know you don't have her on ignore, so how did you miss the post?

Given that neltana pointed out that CNN covered the story, it isn't like he was alone in falling for the hoax.

You did notice that the opening post quite clearly includes the information that the story was not true, didn't you?

What do you think Steve is doing?
He posted a story about someone making up a story. He said it sounded like a scare tactic which it most likely was. Get white people outraged against the actions of black Obama supporters.
So again...what do you think Steve's agenda was in posting this story and its resolution (it being found out she made it all up)?

Oops. My apologies to Steve Grenard who didn't fall for the hoax afterall. It is my fault for relying on anything that Larsen says when it comes to his vendetta against Steve Grenard.

Yep, and winding you up into a tizzy is his forte. All he has to do is post.
