My answer is no. Carl Sagan was involved in real science. Obama is involved in political science. The difference is between a Porsche, Sagan, and a Chevy Vega, Obama.

I have met both of them and it's clear to me that Barack Obama is not Carl Sagan.

Barack Obama got the current generation excited about politics.
