Cause I'm curious and bored. Can be for any reason, although I appreciate it if you wrote it down. I suddenly remembered that I didn't put an "other" option, so write if down if that's your choice. And no, you can't choose two.

Edited for details and cause I can never do it right the first time.

Edited AGAIN to say that the reason why I haven't posted my choice is because I don't know yet.

Oooohhh... So many choices...
Can I have one of each? Please? Can I?

Ashcroft, because he has the highest "religious nutcase, thief of civil liberties" factor. I don't like the rest, but unlike Ashcroft, they tend to be little more than mouthpieces for Bush.

I voted Ashcroft since you didn't give the answer I really want: Get rid of GWB!

I am curious why Bush isn't an option on this poll.

Or Powell, But I vote for Cheney, because he is the real power.

No 1 to hit the road should be Ashcroft - for reasons mentioned previously.

A close second should be Cheney - aka Wormtongue.

The rest of the bunch had better straighten up or out they go too.

Long answer: I didn't put Bush in because I wanted to eventually discuss what his administration would be like without the most unpopular player in his team. Powell I forgot, cause I don't usually think of him as one of "the bad guys", and that was the mindset I was on when I (badly) wrote this thing.

Simple answer: I didn't think this through very well (something that I usually do) when I first posted it. Now that I realize it, I also forgot to add Karl Rove. Still, since this is kind of a wacked out poll which just isn't working, just write down your choices.

Well, using your choices, I'd go with Ash-ho...Ashcroft, since the man is pretty much evil incarnate.

I do pretty much favour getting rid of Bush, though, since without him, the rest of the team gets replaced. I don't think anyone in their right mind would keep this group on staff (with the possible exception of Powell.)

Uh, wouldn't Bush being gone make Cheney the President? A scary proposition, if there ever was one.

My assumption (apparently flawed) was Bush would be gone in the election.

Nope, sorry. The scenario I'm playing around with here is that one of them would be stricken by something that took them out of action. Or something. But hey, we can dream, can't we?

How about a full-administration impeachment?

What about Dubya himself? He would be my choice.

I voted for Rumsfeld. I know a lot of the people that post to this forum think that Ashcroft is evil incarnate.

I just can't get too worked up over the guy. Maybe if somebody could provide a list, something like the top 10 reasons why Ashcroft is a f****** idiot or some such thing.

Rumsfeld scared me right away. He seems to enjoy war way too much. He continously attempts to usurp the role of the state department with the defense department. My sense is that in any internal administration debate between war and peace he's always going to be leading the charge for war. This might be unfair and based more on feelings than fact, but it is at least the way I feel.

I liked the idea of the poll by the way. I was surprised that Powell wasn't included. Some kind of a case could be made for Powell. He was apparently a prime advocate of not getting rid of Hussein the first time, a decision that I see as one of the most immoral made by the US in its history.

In the second gulf war he was a prime enabler. He had the most credibility in the administration as a peace seeker and a peace maker and it his credibility that may have moved the fence sitters to favor the war. Now it seems that he was not speaking the truth perhaps intentionally.

1: Why isnt Bush's name on your list?
2: Why havent you enabled multiple choice?

That was a hard choice, I had to go for Rumsfeld, just because I hate him the most.

Cheney and Rumsfeld are the two powerful masterminds, the rest, while also jack-holes, are not a threat in and of themselves, well, maybe Ashcroft is.

I'd day that Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Ashcroft are the biggest problems. Cheney is probably the worst but since Rumsfeld is in the spotlight more I hate him more.

Then the "most probable" vote would go to Dick "heart-attack" Cheney.

:)

On a more serious discussion of the topic on hand:

On another forum, I proposed that Dick Cheney might not be Bush's running mate for the 2004 election. It seems to me that Cheney is the one person in the Bush administration that can't seem to keep "on message." Everyone else seems to be able to handle the most basic PR tactic of keeping to the script.

The only other reason why Cheney might not be able to keep on message is that it's his role. You know, put out a new spin and see what the reaction is....

Otherwise, Ashcroft still gives me the willies, I'll keep my vote for him.

Why can't I vote for Tom Daschle?

Ian Perez

Again, the reason why notables such as Karl Rove and Powell are not on the list is because I screwed up and forgot to include them, as well as the "other" option. Of course, you're free to write his name down.

The poll doesn't have the "choose multiple answers" because I want you to vote for the one you think is the worst.

As for why Bush isn't on it, it's because that's the way the scenario works. You can vote anybody out, except for him.

I don't like the rest, but unlike Ashcroft, they tend to be little more than mouthpieces for Bush.

I always thought that Bush was the mouthpiece for the Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rove triumvirate.

Of course, I will reconsider this position as soon as I hear Rumsfeld say, "Seldom is the question asked, is our soldiers well-trained."

Whoever prays loudest is one that I trust the least. The same thing goes with flag-waving.

The only reason to play Super-patriot is to get a free pass on America-loving without having to prove it by actually upholding American ideals.

I voted Ashcroft.

You know thats really a double edged sword...G2 is a freaking moron, the real power behind the throne is Chaney Rumsfeld, Et.Al. so to remove any one of them ( except maybe Ashcroft, people who handle snakes and speak in tongues are a dime a dozen in Florida where I live ) even tho they are corrupt might lead to GII initiateing his own hairbraind scheams. Now THAT'S scarey !
As for my pice I chose all of the above but that will have to wait till Nov.2004
