It appears that techtv.com has gone a little woo-woo in it's article on paranormal investigation, involving the Tri Field Natural EM Meter no less....http://www.techtv.com/news/culture/story/0,24195,3389657,00.html
I don't think any of the techies did any test to see if the meter did anything or not.Kinda disappointing for a group that prides itsself on checking out the latest gadgetry in the computer world.:( More "stuff" here...http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp/features/story/0,24330,3368273,00.html

Never, ever mistake Techtv for a reputable news organization. They are not. Among other things, they've reported on the finding of Noah's Ark, and Fung Shui.

When they give computer advice, listen to them. When they talk about anything else, run in the other direction.

Especially avoid TechLive. One of the worst 'news' shows ever.

What I want to know is what a show called "Conspiracies" is doing on a channel called TechTV

I wondered that myself the first time I saw that show advertised. It seems that TechTV has gone the "Discovery Channel route" by filling timeslots with junk that's not even related to their origional purpose(as I see it).I mean,Discovery should change their name to the "Decorating and Welding Channel".It's hard to even find any scientific shows on anymore.TechTV seems to be catering to the general public, while grasping for ratings, by its ventures into the "weird and unexplained genera".At least they could avoid contributing to the mystical world crap.It seems very strange for a network based on understanding physics, electricity, chemistry, etc. to turn into a "In Search Of" network.

However, the "Secret, Strange and True" eps have been pretty good. The "Million Dollar Molecule" covered Randi's challenge regarding the homeopathic water "memory" effect quite well.

I like watchin unscrewed once in a while. They do have the nutcases on the show, but the host manages to insult them without them seeming to understand what he's doing :)

I always get the impression he's trying very hard not to ridicule them.

^Good point about Unscrewed. Did you catch the one where Martin dresses up in his 'hippie whites' and went to a recent crop circle? He was answering the questions of the reporters who got stuck reporting on the bent cereal, and gave exaggerated, woowoo answers to their questions. All the while giving a nod and wink to his own camera.
