View Full Version : Some nut job left a copy of 'Endgame' on my wife's car...

So my wife is leaving work, gets to her car and notices a CD placed under the windshield with the word 'Endgame' written on it. There is also a post-it note saying 'watch this' stuck to it. At first I told her to throw it away, but our curiosity got the better of both of us so we decided to see if it really was Alex Jones' Endgame. So we scan it for viruses and it's clean. We load it up, and sure enough, it's Alex Jones' "masterpiece". Now what my wife and I are trying to figure out is why this was left on her car in the first place? It wasn't on any other car in the entire lot. What made this fool think that the person driving this little red Hyundai accent with it's Dethklok and Symphony X and Opie and Anthony stickers and it's giant Dream Theater logo on the back window would be dumb enough to fall for this trash? What a tool.

I think it's best to watch something before judging it. You did watch it all didn't you?

Good point. And maybe I should stare at the sun for a minute straight before I judge that it's a bad idea.

Anyone who advertises so many different "things" on their car must obviously be a truther. You daring non-conformist, you!

Just a side note, unwanted CD's are excellent for target practice. If you can flick them just so, they are almost as much fun as skeet.

was this a dvd, vcd, or just an avi on a data disc? if it wasnt a video dvd i think they need to work on the distribution methods, might as well hand out floppy discs with a shortcut to a youtube video, lol

It was a burned dvd with the title handwritten across it. High tech stuff and very well presented. ;)

The analogy is moot. Know thy enemy. No one is asking you to agree with the message in these videos but if you're going to be a judge of something you gotta at least know what it's saying.
Many people wrote off Zeitgeist Addendum without even watching it, even though it's sections on the monetary system were factually accurate and nothing to do with CT.
I'm an Atheist but when the Bible Merchants knock on the door I can quote them sections they haven't read themselves. I even had to educate a couple of Christian door to door salesman the evolution of Christianity recently. They'd never even heard of the Council of Nicea.

But TFT, if I left a debunking DVD on a truther's car, they would without thinking say "It's disinfo... It's gov't propaganda..." etc etc and wouldn't watch it. Tell me. Why I should give anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hrs of my life watching a video that is more than likely going to be filled with historical innaccurasies and out of context quotes when the truthers won't even acknowledge the other side?

Uh, hello? I DO know what it's saying. I know what it's saying, without having to watch the video, because for 7 years Truthers have done nothing but spam, spam, spam away at every website on the entire bloody Internet, whether it be JREF or Myspace or the mylittlepony forums (unfortunately NOT an exaggeration). I know what the videos say without having to watch them, because I have it shoved in my face every day! The Truthers' spamming has at least accomplished one thing; it has ensured that I do not have to watch their crap videos.
I watched a Truther video once. Do you know what it turned out to be? The exact same crap that had been spammed across the internet for 7 years. Why should I watch a video when I know for a fact it's just going to be more of the same?
What was it Einstein said? Something about doing the same thing and expecting a different result? So should I continue staring at the sun in the hopes that maybe THIS TIME it won't hurt?
Many people wrote off Zeitgeist Addendum without even watching it, even though it's sections on the monetary system were factually accurate and nothing to do with CT.
I will prove my point above by using psychic powers to tell you what Zeitgeist Addendum said. Mind you I have never watched Zeitgeist Addendum. But I can tell you exactly what it said: It said that the current fractional reserve banking system is unsustainable, that it exists only to transfer power from the many into the hands of The EliteTM (a group of people who are never defined or specified aside from a breif mention of the words "Rockefeller" and/or "Rothschilds"), that we should adopt a gold standard at the least, and a "resource-based economy" (a weaseled term for "barter system") at the most. And maybe it threw in a subtle but not-too-subtle comment regarding Jews or "Zionists".
On my honor as an Eagle Scout I swear to you I have never watched Zeitgeist Addendum. But tell me with a straight face that I'm wrong about all of that.

I very much doubt the same tactic would be useful against Truthers. Most of them choose one video as their "pet video". They will invariably have their pet video memorized word-for-word. Every other Truther's video they will declare to be "disinfo", for reasons I still don't understand. Dedicating one's life to a Youtube video of all things takes a special kind of insanity that I just don't have.

But that's where you are wrong. A lot of them do watch it. Of course you don't need to leave a DVD wedged underneath a screen wiper because the 'debunker version' is broadcast through corporate channels.
Tell me. Why I should give anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hrs of my life watching a video that is more than likely going to be filled with historical innaccurasies and out of context quotes when the truthers won't even acknowledge the other side?
Why should you watch it? Well that's an easy one. Becuase you've no credibility in judging something you've never seen.
How do you know it's full of "historical innaccurasies[sic] and out of context quotes" of you've never seen it?
I consider myself neither a 'twoofer' or a 'dewunker'. I listen to both sides and from where I sit no side has got the exclusive on the truth. Hardline 'dewunkers' are no better than hardline 'twoofers' and vice versa.
The real truth probably sits somewhere inbetween the two. It's just as dumb to believe the official version is always the truth as much as it's dumb to believe the official version is always a lie.
This forum seems heavily weighted towards the dewunker side and I see a lot of people stroking each others egos by mocking twoofers for nothing more than flippant fun. You are no better than the twoofers you mock.
Twoofers and Dewunkers should severe this silly divide and take each other a little more seriously. Listen more seriously to what each side has to say and that includes watching the Alex Jones videos.
I've watched few Alex Jones videos and much of it is BS. But then I've also listened to a lot of what the Establishment has to say and much of that is BS as well.
Even the nomenclature in this silly war is crap. It's not Dewunkers v. Twoofers. You are all truthers. No one wants to believe a lie surely?
Are not both sides looking for the truth? Divided you fall. stand together you both gain. Twoofers and dewunkers should stop mocking each other and work together.
Neither side is going to find the truth if you both waste valuable energy mocking each other like a bunch of school kids.
rant over.

He who sets the boundaries before the game starts has a closed mind. Your loss. See my previous post.
And yes you are wrong about Zeitgeist:Addendum. And my face is straight.
You are no better than a closed minded twoofer.

But how many truly watch it? What I mean by that is go into with it an open mind and are willing to put their petty "evil Jew, evil Rothschild" etc etc theories aside and judge the evidence.
Your send paragraph is true to a degree. But it is also false. I don't go see romantic comedies because once you have seen one, you have basically seen them all. The same goes for Truther documentaries. There is some ranitng about the fed reserve, Bush, Building 7, NYFD, NYPD, and the whole schtick.
How do I know its "full of 'historical innaccurasies[sic] and out of context quotes' of you've never seen it?" Tell me one truther docuementary that doesn't resort to this tactic and I'll try to find time to watch it.

I smell a stalker.
I would say “deranged stalker”, but being a stalker and an Alex Jones lackey, the “deranged” would be double redundant.

There was a conspiracy woo once who knew I was a mason and gave me a copy of that trash..er..masterpiece. The next day I gave him a copy of "The Age of Reason" by Thomas Paine and told him he really should read it. Alex Jones's followers act like they are in a religion.

And so do many dewunkers I've seen on this forum.
Fundamentalists are fundamentalists no matter what side they are on.
We all heard the G W Bush "you are either with us or with the terrorists" BS.
What about "You are either with us or with the Twoofers" ??? - That's something I've encountered from a few people here.
I'm interested in both sides of the argument. I saw just as much nonsense in the Popular Mechanics 911 debunking as I did in Loose Change.

The same goes for the dewunkers. How many would watch such a film with an open mind without putting their "it's all woo" theories aside.
This happened with Zeitgeist:Addendum. The film wasn't a twoofer film at all. but many dewunkers dimissed it without watching it and many of those who did actually dismissed federal reserve facts as being woo because of an already formed mindset prevented them from even believing the truth in this case.
Notwithstanding that the Israeli Lobby is very real and does have a powerful influence on things, not all criticism of the status quo is about the Jews, Rothschilds, Lizards, etc, etc
And regarding the NWO .... This is a very real evolution. The European union, Asian union, African Union, North American Union ( when it arrives ), South American Union, Middle East Union will all eventually merge into a World Union. I'm sure it won't happen in the sinister way of the CTers prophesy, but it's really just a natural progression of political evolution.
If mankind is going to survive, not just into the near future but in the long term ( Thousands of years ) then we need to eradicate all this stupid sectarianism and start acting as a coherent planet. We'll never get anywhere fighting amongst ourselves.

Facts have never been the forte of Alex Jones. Its much easier to get people to follow you blindly if you preach from divisive (and fact devoid) rhetoric and propaganda.

Sounds like something that Right-Wing Militia types were encouraged to do back in the 1990's. The idea was that 'information packs' which contained flyers and cassette/video tapes of militia propaganda would be left on windshields. in shops, libraries etc.
The idea was that whoever found the material would be so convinced by it that they would join the militia cause on the 'day of the barricades'.

I have never seen a debunker here do that. I have seen debunkers challenge those who espouse 9/11 truth theories and other CT nonsense. While I don't look at every thread, in the ones I have seen, I haven't seen anything like that. Do post if there is so I can reevaluate my post. BTW, "You are either with us or you are with the [insert gov't, CIA, FBI, Secret Service, Mossad,]." Take a guess which group has said that and whose members took it a step further by advocating violence against those who they don't agree with or like.

Contrary to the assertion by Bush the world isn't divided into 2 groups. It's Edited for Rule 10. because if one disagrees with the Bush/Neocon 'war on terror' agenda it doesn't mean one sympathises with the 'terrorists'
From where I'm standing I an see the Bush/Neocon agenda has killed far more people than the Islamic fundamentalists and is a bigger handicap to world peace and world civilisation.
I on neither side. Both sides are bad news.
It's nothing to do with a "grey middle ground of terrorism" - Whatever that means?
