Ever tried listening to HBO's shows in spanish with SAP?(second audio programming)They use the spanish from mexico because the general idea is that hispanics come from mexico and latin america, not spain.
I don't watch HBO, but I do realize that that they often use American Spanish instead of European Spanish.
First of all, you are equivocating.
Second, your assertion that "they use Spanish from Mexico instead of Spain, therefore Hispanic is a race", is flawed in multiple ways.
Your conclusion does not follow from your premises
Your premise that American Spanish has something to do with race is transparently incorrect and begs the question at best
Third, did you consider more likely explanations for why Second Audio Programming is dubbed in American Spanish instead of European Spanish?
Here are a few:
(1) Mexico is the top exporter of Spanish telenovelas and Spanish-dubbed Hollywood films around the world, therefore Mexican Spanish is familiar to most Spanish speakers and makes HBOs programming more marketable to a wider Spanish audience.
(2) Per (1), Mexico is more likely to have more expert and professional-grade voice-artists than any other nearby Spanish-speaking countries.
(3) The majority of Spanish-speakers in the United States are from Latin-America instead of Spain, thus American Spanish dialects are more appropriate. This has nothing to do with race.
(4) Mexico is right next to the United States.
They are by DEFINITION!
Africa is a continent and a lot of black people in the United States have closer ties to other continents, such as this one.
Second, the United States is an anomaly in that the government and its institutions chooses to categorize, count and label people socially and politically by some characteristic (of many) implicitly implying that strict differences exist between groups instead of assuming that U.S. Americans differ within groups.
Only an idiot would complain about such stupidity!
Solo un idiota se quejaría por semejante estupidéz!
Me parece que no sabes ni de que estás hablando.
