Decided to take a peek at infowars to see what stories were being cooked up to make us fear Obama. Aside from the new Chief of staff sending a dead fish to someone, the only thing they have come up with so far is the story about Obama's website was changed concerning his view on americans doing community service.

Looks like Alex will be waiting for Obama to do something substantial before really rolling out the fear mongering.

They also bring up the weird bit about the civilian national security force that Obama claimed had to be just as well-equipped and funded as the military. I don't know what the heck he was thinking about when he came up with that bit; if I thought for a moment that he was serious I might get concerned.
According to this article (http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/07/obamas_civilian_national_secur.html) it was an extemporaneous addition to the speech.

Predictably, even when a president / president elect / presidential candidate SUPPORTS the second amendment, the CTs twist it into something evil.
**** you, CTs, **** you.

As someone who headed a community service organization in college with 3,000 participants that received federal recognition - people DO need to be concerned with Obama's plan to force community service.
Its not worth getting hysterical about from the conspiracy theory perspective, but from a practical perspective forcing people to do community service OR making it optional but giving them something for it makes it very hard for community service organizations to be effective. The key to community service is that people do it because its the right thing to do, without expectation of reward. When people are forced into it or given something to do it, it creates an environment where those people have to be babysat and monitored - taking away resources from doing real community service work.
It may not be the hype the woo's make it out to be, but it IS a concern for those of us who are involved in managing community service organizations.
