If I had that, I could pay off my house. That's how much I owe, almost exactly.

Time to go through those Beatles singles under the house.

I just realised that I could pay my house off with what Paul McCartney has under his chesterfield cushions.

Tip for someone. Buy a CD of a great band. Ensure it is covered by plastic. Never take it out of the plastic. Then in 40 years time, if you have bought the right CD it might be worth what you paid for it + interest + costs + risk premium.

I've got the $.09 if anyone can help me out with the remaining $34,100.

If you have the ability to back in time to September 11, 2001, I suggest you go to a record store and buy this album which was released on that day:

I made the mistake of opening records and playing them when I bought them. Unbelievably, I still do that today with CDs. When will I learn?

I'll bet you buy bottles of wine, and then open and drink them too...right?

I've got that one, but mine has been opened and played. I'm not sure they're all that rare, though. While the label did recall them, many stores went ahead and sold their inventory rather than return them to the manufacturer.

An opened one is going for at least $4,900.

Damn, I did it again. I read your post as soon as I saw it. I should have left it unopened in the cellophane wrapper and preserved it. :D

It was showing up when I looked at the linked one this morning. It's possible it was a stereo version, there's a mono one up too, but it's only at $10 currently.

ETA: Actually looking back at your post I see you were meaning the NY one, not the Beetles one, never mind. :)

Heh. Personally I don't think the Beatles (Happy?) were really that spectacular, so I don't go out of my way to remember the spelling.
