So I got an email today from a conspiracy theorist.

His claim? The truth of an issue can be determined by the number of Google or Yahoo hits it receives.

FEMA camps has several thousand hits, therefore, they are real!!!

Alien abductions, ALSO has thousands of hits, hundreds of thousands of them. Does that mean, they are TRUE too???

This is the kind of logic and intelligence we are dealing with here folks.

Cool, I always thought "Lord of the Rings" was true. With 23,400,000 Google hits, it turns out I'm right. Same is true of that well-known series of historical documents, the Star Trek series (31,500,000 hits) and Harry Potter (77,900,000 hits). However, when I googled the guy who sits at the next desk along from me at work, I only got 55 hits, so clearly he's fictitious. I wonder if he knows?
