You know, for someone who seems to be against political assasinations and false-flag attacks, he sure is contributing to the atmosphere of hate surrounding Obama
What will Jones do if Obama is taken out? Yell and scream that it was a false-flag attack? Meanwhile, his accusations of Obama being a Communist and a fascist dictator to-be are just the kind of fear mongering and McCarthyite witch-hunting hatred that just might send some nutcase kid over the line.
Everyone has the right to critisize our leaders (and soon to be leaders), but when you accuse him of being the devil in disguise, dont be shocked when someone takes your words to heart.
Jones and others really need to tone it down.

He has been saying this about Bush and Co for years (and for all I know about Clinton before that). What makes you think this time is different?

well, the major difference is, is that obama has more threats against him then any President before, and people need to be extra careful about what they say, IMHO.
with white supremacists, islamic-extremists, anarchists, and anti-NWO conspiracy theorists all calling him the devil, the Secret Service definately has their hands full....more then ever before.

Jones would be going after whoever won the presidency, but it has been acknowledged by the Secret Service that Obama and his family have received far more death threats than is usually seen in a president elect and everyone knows the biggest reason why. So even though Jones does do this all the time with almost all politicians(especially presidents), there is a far greater chance in this case that his hate mongering crap could help push unstable people who are already furious and paranoid about the election over the edge and into doing something violent with potentially disastrous consequences. That wouldn't make him completely culpable of course, but I do think that under the circumstances, he's being far more irresponsible than usual.

I have run across this situation myself recently. I have a friend who about a year ago got really into AJ and started buying up his videos and watching stuff online and really getting into the "TRUTHER" mode. I gave the stuff a peek and honestly I just assumed he was fear mongering to sell videos and didn't give it much more thought (Guess that is the fluoride telling me to ignore "The Truth"). I figured it would pass as he goes through these phases, but right after the election he referred to Obama as "The Devil". I then proceeded to ask why he would say that? I was then pointed to Infowars and gave a it a quick look and while the "reports" there are amusing at best the comments sections really blew me away.
I won't go into detail as I imagine a couple of you have probably seen the site, but it really goes back to what you are saying about people taking this stuff to heart. I just never thought someone I knew would really go that far and it's kinda scary.
BTW I'm new here so sorry to fill up the room with my noob stench :boxedin:

It has not been acknowledged by the Secret Service. The article linked by Parky specifically states:
The Secret Service would not comment or provide the number of cases they are investigating. But since the Nov. 4 election, law enforcement officials have seen more potentially threatening writings, Internet postings and other activity directed at Obama than has been seen with any past president-elect, said officials aware of the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because the issue of a president’s security is so sensitive.

No, they don't.
Just because Obama is hated by some nutcases hardly means people's freedom of speech should be curtailed.
It doesn't matter if people "need to be extra careful" about what they say about Obama because otherwise they'll be arrested, or because otherwise they'll be sued for libel, or because otherwise they'll "bear the moral guilt" for a possible assassination. In all cases the result is the same: thou shall not criticize Dear Leader.
To clarify: there certainly isn't any evidence Obama himself thinks "people need to be extra careful" about what they say about him, lest his precious personal safety be jeapordized. But, in the unlikely case he does think this, his assassination would be no great loss--who needs a cowardly wannabe dictator as president?

Well, smart one.. Do tell. Please take the time to enlighten the class. What is this great knowledge that Mr. Jones harbors? Please be specific, I didn't sign up here to read the same old crap. If you are going to support such a man, I would suggest you come armed to the teeth with page after page of his "good Deed's"..
Where WOULD we be without Alex Jones? Oh My!!

Did you read the linked articles in the OP? They are kooky, but they are criticism.
I don't buy the notion that people have to tone down their criticism of Obama because hate groups are attacking him for his race. And I say that as somebody who has found very little to criticize about Obama thus far.

Dishonest criticism is dishonesty, not criticism, and thus is not legitimate the way honest criticism is. It is an abuse of free speech, much like shouting "fire" in a crowded theater.
